Conformable pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes which comprise a layer of polymeric foam in the backing and may be adhered firmly to a substrate and thereafter removed therefrom after only being stretched at an angle no greater than about 35.degree. from the surface of the substrate. Articles for mounting an object such as a picture to a surface such as a wall comprising a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape of the invention are also described.
CROSSS REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
This application is a continuation-in-part of U.S. application Ser. No. 08/114,500, filed Aug. 31, 1994 now abandoned.
A display assembly including a plurality of clips of resiliently flexible material, each of which clips has a rear portion, a front portion laying along a front surface of the rear portion, and an arcuate end portion joining ends of the rear and front portions and defining a passageway transverse of the front, rear, and end portions. A plurality of lengths of stretch release adhesive releasably adhere rear surfaces of the clips to a surface in a pattern determined by a person applying the display assembly; and at least one resiliently elastic cord is positioned to extend between the clips and through the passageways in the clips to form a web-like structure between the clips. The clips and cord are decoratively colored, so that the display assembly can be used only as a decorative assembly, or can be used to support one or more objects along the surface.
A pressure indicating structure comprising (1) a translucent or transparent sheet including reflective structure defining at least a portion of a second surface of that sheet for reflecting back through a first opposite surface of the sheet light entering the sheet through its first surface, that reflective structure comprising a multiplicity of peak portions and recessed portions having recessed surface portions of the second surface that define recesses from the peak portions; and (2) a deformable layer comprising pressure sensitive adhesive having a major surface along the second surface of the sheet over the peak portions of the reflective structure. A predetermined pressure between the first surface of the sheet and the surface of the deformable material opposite the reflective structure can deform the pressure sensitive adhesive into the recesses to wet part or all of the recessed surface portions of the reflective structure thereby causing light to pass through the second surface along the wetted recessed surface portions instead of being reflected, which is visually observable to indicate that the predetermined pressure has been applied.
A kit for forming an air filtering assembly from a portable box fan assembly having a parallelepiped housing with square open sides through which an electric motor driven fan in the housing propels air, and a filter assembly including a parallelepiped frame with opposite sides with through openings generally corresponding in size to the open sides of the housing of the box fan assembly and a sheet of air filtering material within the filter assembly frame between its sides. The kit includes (1) a plurality of clips or hooks; (2) a lengths of adhesive for adhering the clips or hooks to outer surfaces of side portions of the housing for the box fan assembly; and (3) a resiliently elastic cord adapted to extend through passageways in the clips or hooks and between the clips or hooks around the side of the filter assembly opposite the box fan assembly to retain the filter assembly along one of the sides of the housing of the box fan assembly.
