A spring system for connecting two flanges (13, 14), for use especially in a motor vehicle exhaust system. The spring system is configured as an elastic, flexible clamp with functionally first (1, 2) and second (4, 5) U-shaped clamping jaws positioned opposite each other. This provides a spring system which is easy to assemble and economical to produce. To this end the spring system has the U-shaped arms (6, 7) of the clamping jaws (1, 2; 4, 5) having only locally very restricted areas (8, 9, 10) for direct application to the pieces (11, 13; 12, 14) to be joined by means of the clamp. Four application areas (8) exercising both clamping functions are present in at least one of the clamping planes (100 or 200), of which two areas are arranged in pairs and situate diametrically opposite each other.
A coaxial connection having a device and a first manifold (12) comprising a protrusion (18) able to be received in a neck (22) on a second manifold (14). The device is produced in the form of an open collar (10) produced from an elastically deformable material and having a bottom (36) extended by two arms (38) having respective ends which define the opening of the collar. The collar is provided with retaining stops (44, 46, 48) and at least one locking member (60) arranged so as to cooperate with an engagement region (34) of at least one of the manifolds in order to prevent any accidental extraction of the open collar once fitted. Application in particular to heat exchangers for motor vehicles.
In a single-piece connector clamp for flange connections of pipe sections wherein the clamp has a U-shaped spring back with opposite legs and spring arms extending from the legs in spaced relationship and forming spring arm pairs disposed at opposite sides of a reception space for the connector flanges, the connector clamp includes in the center area of the web a cutout area which extends from the base of a spring arm to the adjacent spring arm base so that the spring arms of the single piece connector clamp are supported resiliently for independent clamping action.
A clamp (1) has been provided for fastening and connecting tubes (2,3), especially for fastening a connecting tube to a heat exchanger for a motor vehicle. At least one terminal area (8) of the inventive clamp (1) is bent back.
