Support for drums of various sizes and shapes comprising a shelf with three or more radial arms, a mounting element at the bottom of the shelf for mounting the support on a stand, and three or more sticks distributedly arranged at the periphery of the shelf and projecting upwards. The support allows playing the drum when the player is standing with the support being mounted on a stand, or sitting with the support standing on the floor.
A drum bracket including an adjustment rod and three support bars pivotally connected with upper end of the adjustment rod at equal angular intervals. Each support bar has a swinging end. An L-shaped claw section is pivotally connected with the swinging end of each support bar and fixable with the support bar. A bush is axially movably fitted on the adjustment rod. Three links are pivotally connected with the bush at equal angular intervals. Each link is also pivotally connected with a middle section of each support bar. A bottom of the adjustment rod is formed with outer thread under the bush. An adjustment nut is screwed on the outer thread.
An adjustable tripod stand having independently adjustable legs includes an upright member for supporting an object, such as a drum, at its upper end. A pair of independently movable collar members are slidably mounted on the upright member and longitudinally adjustable relative to and past one another and to an upright portion for selective positioning thereon. A releasable fastener on the collars secures them to the upright member at selected positions. Three movable leg members are connected at their upper ends, two to one of the collar members and one to the other collar member. Movement of the collar members permits the stand to be erected in limited or confined areas. The stand preferably includes a leg extender member slidably mounted on the exterior one of the leg members, which is movable a selected distance permitting the stand to be positioned on different levels, such as stairs. An embodiment for supporting bass drums has a collar member fitting the upright member having four equally spaced radially extending lugs. Four legs are pivotally supported on the lugs and movable toward and away the upright member to provide a cradle for receiving and supporting a bass drum. Another embodiment for supporting a conga drum has three independently movable legs, two sets of collar members slidably mounted on the legs, a central pivot member for each set of collar members, and upper and lower leg extender members slidably positioned on the legs. Support plates on the upper ends of the upper leg extender members are movable therewith to an upper position defining a base for supporting a conga drum. When one of the lower leg extender members is extended a support is provided for the tripod on different levels.
A quick disconnect that enables a drummer to quickly remove and apply tension to a drumhead of a drum is provided. The disconnect is operable with many types of drums, such as a conga drum. The disconnect allows a drummer at the end of a playing session to quickly release tension from the drumhead and thereby preserve the head and the barrel portion of the drum. Further, when the drummer wants to use the drum again, the quick disconnect allows the drummer to quickly reapply tension to the drumhead, wherein the tension reapplied is substantially the same as the tension applied immediately prior to the previous release of the disconnect.
The invention relates to a conga drum stand comprising a supporting ring, away from which extend upwards at least three holding attachments having a concavely curved inside surface for receiving the conga drum and away from which extend downwards stand legs, in which the radius of curvature R.sub.1 of the concavely curved inside of the holding attachments is greater than the radius of curvature R.sub.2 of the supporting ring or of the conga drum to be received.
