A measuring/dispensing cap adapted for attachment to an open upper end of a container, the cap comprising a substantially cylindrical skirt and a lid connected thereto; the cylindrical skirt portion incorporating a measuring chamber defined in part by a weir panel having an opening that is defined in whole or in part by a wall extending upwardly from the panel toward the lid, terminating short of the underside of the lid.
The invention relates to the use of a cylindrical test body with one or more spherical cavities for testing the function and defect recognition quality of systems for the automatic recognition of defects in castings and method for the manufacture thereof. All the prior art testing possibilities are not in accordance with practice and suffer from different advantages. The invention surprisingly obviates this problem by the use of a cylindrical test body with one or more spherical cavities for testing the function and defect recognition quality of systems for the automatic recognition of defects in castings and which is fixed on or in the casting to be tested. Thus, the invention has created test bodies or objects, which better approximate the shape of natural defects and which are simple and inexpensive to manufacture in reproducible manner. These test bodies contain one or more spherical cavities optionally having different sizes and positions.
A dispensing closure has an integral measuring device and spoon applicator. The closure has an internal thread on a skirt for fitting onto a container finish. The closure has a tubular measuring device depending from the base wall within the radial confines of the skirt and ending at a spoon applicator for ease of oral administration.
A dispenser is provided for delivering a controlled quantity of a granular material. The dispenser includes a container assembly, a diffuser and a metering cup. The container includes a reservoir which supports a disposable cartridge of granular material. The cartridge is supported in the reservoir so as to define a passageway therebetween. A nozzle is defined for the outflow of material from the cartridge. The diffuser is disposed on one end of the container and includes a plurality of apertures. The metering cup is disposed on the opposite end of the container and has an open end adapted to receive granular material. Adjustment of the axial spacing between the nozzle and metering cup varies the quantity of granular material collected in the cup. The granular material is dispensed by inverting the container to a second orientation, such that material flows out of the metering cup, through the passageway and out of the diffuser. The nozzle may serve as a piercing mechanism for opening the disposable cartridge upon its insertion into the reservoir.
A spice storage and dispensing system is configured as a spoon and includes a handle for the storage of spice and a bowl for the measurement and dispensing of spice received from the handle.
A spice rack assembly includes a rack and at least one container that is magnetically coupled to the rack. The at least one container comprises a body and a lid. The body comprises a sidewall and a bottom, wherein the sidewall circumscribes the bottom. The lid is coupled to the body such that a cavity is defined by an inner surface of the lid, an inner surface of the sidewall, and an inner surface of the bottom. The container sidewall comprises an opening extending therethrough in flow communication with the cavity.
