Abstract
A golf club measuring apparatus for measuring the face progression, lie angle, loft angle of a face includes a base having a flat top reference surface, and a club-holding assembly pivotally mounted on the base for pivotal movement. A shaft of a golf club is grasped by the club-holding assembly with a space kept from the reference plane. An orientation of an iron club is regulated by a club face regulator while an orientation of a wooden club is regulated by a measuring piece.

6941670 - Clubhead measuring gauge

A clubhead measuring gauge comprises a fixed base capable of rotating and adjusting its position along a circumference and fixing a protractor; an adjustable measuring base for mounting the protractor and allowing the protractor to shift its position in an increasing or decreasing angle; and an assistant measuring base having a standard side. All of the foregoing components are coupled to a base having a flat horizontal surface. By means of the protractor of the adjustable measuring base, the face angle of golfclubs can be adjusted to match the measuring angle of the measurement, and thus reducing the error and improving precision. Further, the fixed base is rotated to the left or right to attach the sole of the golfclub with the horizontal surface of the base for the measurement of the angles of golfclubs.

6508007 - Device for measuring bounce, loft and lie of golf club - Owned by Mitchell; Ed (Dayton, OH)

A device for measuring bounce angle, bounce width, loft and lie of a golf club includes a registering aid for registering the golf club, a bounce measurer operably associated with the registration aid to enable a bounce measurement to be taken, a loft measurer operably associated with the registration aid to enable a loft measurement to be taken, and a lie measurer operably associated with the registration aid to enable a lie measurement to be taken.

6895680 - Golf head and shaft with flex neutralization and method for manufacturing same

A device for determining a neutral point on a golf club head. The device comprises a base. A calibration block is attached to the base. The calibration block comprises an index dial and the index dial comprises a neutral indicator. A head aligner is rotatably attached to the base opposite to the calibration block. The head aligner comprises a groove aligner and a sole plate. When the sole plate is in contact with a club sole of the golf club head and the groove aligner is aligned with a club groove of the golf club head the neutral point is aligned with the neutral indicator.

6754970 - Golf club aligning kit and method of use

A preferred golf club aligning kit includes a tool, ligatures and a marker. The preferred tool includes a base and an arm pivotally secured along a center line of the base. A preferred method of use involves centering a head of the club against the base; binding the head to the base; pivoting the arm until proximate a shaft of the club; binding the shaft to the arm; marking a first alignment mark on a grip of the club; and marking a second alignment mark on the head proximate the center line. A preferred method for addressing a ball involves positioning the second alignment mark proximate the center of the ball; pivoting the club until the first alignment mark overhangs the ball; aiming the first alignment mark toward a target; positioning one's feet parallel to the first alignment mark; and again centering the second alignment mark with the ball.

7172513 - Tool for determining optimal putter characteristics

A tool has an adjustable lie angle, face angle, weight, and shaft length and is used by a golfer to adjust a putter to the optimal lie angle, face angle, weight and shaft length for that golfer. The tool head has a face plate and a sole disposed normal to one another. An angle member has a vertical wall disposed parallel to the face plate and a horizontal wall that overlies the sole. A hosel is pivotally mounted to the vertical wall and a first protractor is fixedly secured to the vertical wall. A marker on the hosel indicates the lie angle on the first protractor. A second protractor secured to the sole indicates a face angle when the shaft of the club is rotated about its axis. Weights are selectively added to the toe, heel, or mid-point of the putter head to determine an optimal weight and weight distribution.
