An electrical conductor comprises a compressible conductive member and a tubular conductive sleeve, wherein the sleeve includes an internal deformation. The compressible member comprises a tubular lattice of interlaced wires received axially within the sleeve and engaged therein by the internal deformation to retain the compressible member axially within the sleeve.

An insulating holder has a first face and a second face, with a first hole that has a first diameter at the first face, and a second hole that has a second diameter larger than the first diameter and extended from the second face so as to communicate with the first hole. Inside the second hole is a plate-shaped conductive terminal that has a base portion and at least one pair of guide portions extended from the base portion so as to define a concave portion between opposed inner edges of the guide portions. The concave portion faces the first hole. Included in between the opposed inner edges of the guide portions is a conductive pin with a plunger portion that has a diameter smaller than the first diameter and a bulged portion that has a diameter larger than the first diameter. The bulged portion of the pin has opposed grooves at its periphery that run parallel to the plunger portion's longitudinal axis and is fitted with the guide portions so as to be slidable along the concave portion. A spring member is also provided in the concave portion so as to urge the pin toward the first face of the holder, so that the plunger portion of the pin is retractably protruded from the first face of the holder through the first hole.

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing (2) having an exterior side (23) adapted to face a substrate, a substantially elongated terminal (1), and a body of reflowable, electrically conductive material (5). The terminal is adapted to mate with a mating component and extends substantially to the exterior side of the insulative housing. The terminal includes a movable contact end (12) longitudinally movable relative to the insulative housing. The body of reflowable, electrically conductive material is disposed on the movable contact end adjacent the exterior side of the insulative housing. As such, since the electrical connector is assembled onto the substrate by the formation of the body of conductive material between terminals of the electrical connector and the substrate, no openings or holes have been defined on the substrate, thereby doing no damage to a wiring or connection layout on the substrate.

A contact pin comprises a plunger contacting an electric part, a bottom contact portion electrically connected to a printed circuit board, and a spring urging the plunger and the bottom contact portion so as to separate from each other, in which at least one of the plunger and the bottom contact portion is formed by press-working a plate member. The bottom contact portion is provided with a connection portion to which the plunger is connected.

There are provided a pair of contacts which are housed in a hole portion formed in an insulation member, to be brought into contact with two connection objects, a conductive member provided on an internal circumference surface of the hole portion, and a resilient member which urges the contacts outwards and is deformed due to the urging of the contacts to electrically connect the contacts to the conductive member, wherein the connection objects are pressed to be in contact with the two contacts, thus bending the resilient member, so that the contacts are brought into contact with the conductive member at fixed positions to thereby ensure a stable electrical connection between the two connection objects.
