Abstract
A clock for the attachment of a dog's collar or the like that indicates the passage of time according to the dog's or pet's frame of reference. For example, the rate of passage of time may be such that for each human day of time passage, seven dog or pet days are reflected by the clock's display. Additional data, displays, and information may be carried, manipulated, entered and chosen by the use of user control buttons or the like. A battery may supply power to internal circuitry that drives a display of liquid crystals (LCD). The data carried by the pet chronometer and identification tag may be held in EEPROM such that a power failure does not erase the data. This is particularly useful for any health data or contact information that is incorporated or recorded into the pet chronometer and identification tag.

6650243 - Pet affection indicator

A pet affection indicator device presents information regarding the quantity of affection a pet owner is giving to the pet. The device includes a sensing assembly with a sensor element worn by a pet, and produces signals based on sensing of a human's touching of the pet near the sensor element. A processor receives the signals from the sensing element and calculates data associated with at least one of an amount, frequency and duration of the sensed touching and elapsed time since the last of the sensed touching. A memory is in electrical communication with the processor for storing the data. The device also includes an indicator that communicates to a human an indication associated with the data based on the touches. With this device, the pet owner, by paying attention to the indicator, will know if and when the pet is due for more affection.

7080149 - Pet registration, search, and retrieval system with municiple licensing option

A nationwide, web-based pet registration, search and retrieval system. The system is implemented with a host computer (10) that may be accessed by users operating user computers (12) via a communications network (14) such as the Internet. Pet owners may register their pet with the host computer and finders of lost pets may search the host computer in an attempt to locate the owners of lost pets. Preferably, the rabies vaccinated pet wears a single multi-purpose tag which communicates both the pet's rabies vaccination information and information for reuniting the pet with its owner. Rabies vaccination is not a prerequisite, however, and almost any relatively unique identifier will work, including microchip numbers, tattoos, other types of identification tags, etc. The system also allows an owner to license the pet with a participating municipality.
