Abstract
A media filter cabinet for a gas furnace is sized to accept a high-efficiency media filter while being easily adaptable to accept a standard size filter. A perforated duct flange on one side of the cabinet permits ease of installation since the flange can be bent at 90 or 180 degrees along the perforations, or removed, depending on the type of duct the cabinet is installed with. The cabinet is adapted to fit a standard filter by using a removable bracket and a wire to retain the standard filter within the cabinet. With the removal of a front door and a back side of the cabinet, the cabinet collapses to diminish its shipping size. In one embodiment, the cabinet is in kit form which is easily assembled.

7252696 - Fan coil media cabinet - Owned by Carrier Corporation (Farmington, CT)

A fan coil media cabinet for use with a fan coil unit. The cabinet includes an open-sided inner liner having co-joined top, bottom, back, and front panels. The inner panel is mounted within an outer shell having top, bottom, and back walls that are located adjacent to the top, bottom, and back walls of the outer shell. The outer shell contains a ledge that extends about the inner periphery of the shelf upon which the inner liner is seated. The width of the outer shell walls is greater than that of the inner liner panels so that the walls extend outwardly to one side beyond the inner liner. In assembly, the extended wall sections of the outer shell are mounted in contiguous relation with the return inlet of the fan coil and are fastened thereto to create a rigid structure.

6848758 - Do it yourself (DIY) modular cabinet

A DIY cabinet has a foldable frame, a top panel, a bottom panel, a rear panel and multiple pop-it fasteners. The panels are attached to the foldable frame with the pop-it fasteners. Each pop-it fastener is composed of a countersunk tube and a stud. The countersunk tubes are pressed into head holes in panels, and the studs are screwed into and extend from base holes in the foldable frame and align with corresponding head holes in the panels. The studs extending from the base holes are pressed respectively into the countersunk tube in the head holes. Thereby, the panels are conveniently mounted on the foldable frame without using any tools. Moreover, the foldable frame can be folded to reduce the size of the disassembled DIY cabinet.
