Compounds having the formula: ##STR1## are inhibitors of urokinase and are useful in the treatment of diseases in which urokinase plays a role. Also disclosed are urokinase-inhibiting compositions, methods for the preparation of urokinase-inhibitors, and a method of inhibiting urokinase in a mammal.

A compound is disclosed, which is useful in treating a mammal having a disease-state characterized by thrombotic activity. The compound is of the following formula: ##STR00001## wherein A, B, R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and R.sub.4 are as defined herein or an isomer or isomeric mixture thereof or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
