Abstract
The invention relates to a detergent composition comprising a bleach-sensitive component and a hydrogen peroxide source, wherein the hydrogen peroxide source is present in a particulate component having an average particle size, by weight, of from 700 microns to 1100 microns, preferably from 750 microns to 1000 microns, whereby at least 80% by weight of the particulate component comprising the hydrogen peroxide source has a particle size of between 70% to 130% of the average particle size. The compositions preferably comprise a bleach activator of a specified average particle size.

6866870 - Biocide composition and related methods - Owned by Board of Supervisors of Louisiana State University and Agricultural and Mechanical College through the LSU AgCenter (Baton Rouge, LA)

A biocide composition is formed from a peroxide and a hypochlorite, wherein the biocide composition is formed by adding the peroxide to the hypochlorite in an amount so that the weight ratio of the hypochlorite to the peroxide is no less than about 10:1. A method of producing a biocide composition is carried out by charging to a vessel a quantity of a hypochlorite, and then adding to the hypochlorite so charged a quantity of a peroxide, the weight ratio of the hypochlorite so charged to the peroxide added thereto being no less than about 10:1. A related method is practiced by applying a biocidally effective amount of the biocide composition of the invention to a surface to be decontaminated.
