A connector facilitates securing a boat canvas to a boat frame. One portion of a conventional snap is attached to a boat surface in a known manner. The complementary portion of the snap forms part of a two-sided connector, including a surrounding component with one half of a repositionable fastener facing away from the boat surface. In this manner, a boat canvas including the other half of the repositionable fastener can be readily secured to the boat. Preferably, a connecting force between the first and second halves of the repositionable fastener is greater than a connecting force of the first and second halves of the snap connector so that the two-sided connectors remain attached to the canvas when the canvas is removed. With this structure, the boat company can install the snaps in the windshield earlier in the boat assembly process, and the connector allows for adjustment in the field to compensate for shrinkage, stretching, etc. of the boat canvas.
A fastener cover capable of covering exposed studs on a boat contains a padded portion having a top surface and a bottom surface and at least one socket sized to couple to an exposed stud. The socket is located on the bottom surface of the padded portion, so that when the fastener cover is attached to the exposed stud, the stud is covered by the padded portion.
A material receiving and retaining bib and quick attachable/detachable frame assembly for positioning the bib in a desired location for receipt of material (i.e. varnish, cleaners, paints, etc.) which may run off of a surface being treated. The frame assembly includes a plurality of frame members attached to the surface. The retaining bib is held in place by the frame member. The bib is positioned such that it will catch and retain excess materials falling from the object being serviced such as, but not limited to, a wooden rail or any another item of the marine vessel.
A convertible boat top provides a covered area to protect the occupants from environmental concerns such as sun, rain, etc. The convertible top is easily deployed and can be unobtrusively tucked away into a storage area. The top can be provided as original equipment or may be embodied as a kit to adapt an existing boat.

An enclosure is removably securable to a support member including a first part of a releasable fastener. The enclosure includes a panel of material sized to enclose the support member. A flexible flap is affixed to the panel, and a second part of the releasable fastener is affixed to the flexible flap. The second part of the releasable fastener is positioned for engagement with the first part when the panel encloses the support member. By affixing the second part of the releasable fastener to the flexible flap, the position of the fastener is adjustable to accommodate panel shrinkage, manufacturing tolerances and the like.
