Abstract
The invention related to methods and a system fro precisely fitting a golfer to a selected stiffness of golf shaft and to a selected flex choice of golf shaft. Heretofore and presently, a long felt need exists for methods and means to precisely fitting a golfer to a particular golf shaft whose values of stiffness and flex choice are applicable to a player of a specific skill level in the game of golf. Present day club fitting systems and methods are very expensive, complex and do not provide methods and means for precisely fitting a golfer to the most important part of a golf club, the golf shaft and its stiffness and flex point or kick point values, to allow a player to possess accuracy and consistency in his or her golf swing/shot performance. The present inventive methods and the system invention disclosed herein satisfy this long felt need and provide accurate selection of a golf shaft for a player by providing the particular methods and analysis set forth hereinafter.

7584163 - Method and system for expression evaluation - Owned by SAP AG (Walldorf,DE)

A method to analyze impact of changes to a model includes accessing a proposed change to a model. An expression that is relevant to the proposed change is accessed. An instances set associated the expression is obtained. The instance set is evaluated to determine an impact of the proposed change to the model. An application utilizes the expression of a model. An impact analyzer assesses impact of a change to the model by evaluating at least one of the one or more expressions and returning an evaluation set for use by the application.

7413517 - Reconfigurable golf club and method

A reconfigurable golf club head and a method for fitting a golf club to a golfer are described. Optimum club head design parameters are determined based on one or more of the following factors: the golfer's swing characteristics, ball flight trajectory tendency information, course and weather conditions, golf ball dynamic flight characteristics and personal preferences. Lookup tables or mathematical algorithms, such as impact and trajectory simulations, may be used. Features of the reconfigurable golf club head include a replaceable face plate to adjust the profile of the club face and a replaceable weight plate to adjust the club head center of gravity and inertia properties. Adjustable characteristics of the club face include the loft angle, bulge radius and roll radius.

7273427 - Method and system for selecting a golf club - Owned by Bridgestone Sports Co., Ltd (Tokyo,JP)

A method for selecting a golf club suitable for a golfer includes the steps of (a) obtaining at least one of head speed and hit-ball data (initial velocity, launch angle, backspin, side spin, and travel distance) when a golfer hits a golf ball with a golf club; (b) obtaining ideal hit-ball data of the golfer on the basis of the at least one of head speed and hit-ball data obtained in step (a); and (c) selecting a golf club suitable for the golfer on the basis of the ideal hit-ball data obtained in step (b).

7041014 - Method for matching a golfer with a particular golf club style - Owned by Taylor Made Golf Co., Inc. (Carlsbad, CA)

A method is disclosed for matching a test golfer with a particular golf club selected from a group of golf clubs having a plurality of styles. The method utilizes data set derived in an initial procedure in which the club style preferences for each of a large number of pre-test golfers is recorded and correlated with a set of performance parameters for the golf swings of such pre-test golfers. This data enables the pre-test golfers to be classified into subgroups, in which golfers within the same subgroup generally prefer the same club style and golfers in different subgroups generally prefer different club styles. After this data set has been established, the test golfer takes a golf swing with a golf club, while performance parameters for the swing are measured. Based on the measured performance parameters and the previously established data set, the test golfer is classified according to swing type, and the optimum golf club is then selected from the plurality of styles of golf clubs.
