The airtight foamable liquid reservoir of a portable foam generator includes a pressurized air inlet and a discharge tube with one or more venturi openings. As a foamable liquid within the reservoir is discharged from the reservoir by the pressurized air through the discharge tube, pressurized air enters the discharge tube through the venturi opening(s) to create a fluid foam from the foamable liquid. For pest control, the foam generator may be utilized to foam and dispense a foamable pesticide that, preferably, includes a non-repellant, nonionic foaming agent adjuvant. The foamed pesticide may be introduced into walls and relatively inaccessible building locations as well as over the entrances of and into passages and habitats used by pests.
The elongated tubular pesticide administration system is designed to fit between the foundation wall of a structure and the lowest board in a lapped exterior wall system, such as wood, composites, cement-fiber board, vinyl, or aluminum siding. The pesticide dispersion system is attached to the inner surface of the lowest board, and it includes an extended, flexible, resilient seal which seals it against the outside of the foundation wall, thereby sealing the exposed area between formed between the foundation wall and the exterior siding. Pesticide foam is injected into the system through fill ports which are spaced along the bottom of the system. The pesticide foam fills the aperture and is then disbursed through pesticide dispersion holes.
A decontamination liquid spraying appliance has a storage container for the receiving decontamination liquid, in particular of GD5 solution, and further has a spraying device flow-connected to the storage container. The appliance is used for the decontamination of objects contaminated by harmful substances. The storage container is a pressure container with a threaded orifice formed in it. The spraying device contains an adapter head that can be screwed in a pressure tight manner into the threaded orifice and which carries a regulating valve for regulating the quantity of the decontamination liquid to be sprayed. The spraying device further has a hand-actuated air pump that has a pump tube projecting into the pressure container and a pump piston displaceable in the pump tube through a piston rod led through the adapter head, in order to act upon the interior of the pressure container with overpressure.
