Abstract
An antenna system includes a ground plane, an aperture array of patch radiating elements and a feed structure. The feed structure has a first and second beam forming networks that each couple to selected radiating elements to form first and second antenna arrays. At least one and less than all of the radiating elements are shared by the first and second antenna arrays.

7212162 - Horn antenna for circular polarization using planar radiator - Owned by Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (KR)

Provided is a horn antenna for circular polarization using a planar radiator. The horn antenna has a simplified and miniaturized structure by substituting a function of a providing signal power to the horn antenna with a function of a circular polarizer which induces circular polarization by using the planar radiator. The horn antenna includes: a horn for radiating signal power; and a planar radiator for providing the signal power to the horn to thereby induce circular polarization, the radiator including a radiating patch.

7102571 - Offset stacked patch antenna and method - Owned by KVH Industries, Inc. (Middletown, RI)

A stacked patch antenna has a first element having a feed thereto spaced above a ground plane and one or more spaced apart parasitic elements spaced above the first element. The first and parasitic elements may be tuned to a fundamental mode for radiation of a specified frequency. The geometric centers of the parasitic elements are offset from one another and from the geometric center of the first element along the same direction. The stacked patch configuration provides increased gain and bandwidth. The offset configuration determines the direction of maximum gain for the antenna. The first and parasitic elements can be single antenna elements and may be microstrip antenna elements. The elements can also be arrays of microstrip antenna elements. The phasing of the arrays of microstrip elements can be controlled to determine a gain sensitivity direction.

7127322 - Method and system for the electronic provision of services for machines via a data communication link - Owned by Siemens Aktiengesellschaft (Munich,DE)

Expert knowledge from machine manufacturers is applied quickly at any time to a machine via the Internet, by providing a main computer (host) for the production and provision of machine-related data and/or services and a machine-side working computer (client). The machine-side working computer is connected to the main computer via a data communication link. Machine state data from the machine-side working computer can be acquired in real time and transmitted to the main Computer. Machine-related data and/or services generated by the main computer as a function of such machine state data can be received by an analysis and evaluation unit.
