To provide a portable telephone output limitation management device in which use of a portable telephone set is automatically limited in a site where the use of the set is limited and in which causes of non-response and other various information can be transmitted to an originating party who called the use-limited portable telephone set. The portable telephone output limiting management device issues a radio wave signal of the output limiting command information from an antenna. On reception of the output limiting command information from the antenna, the portable telephone set enters into the output limiting mode to halt direct exchange with a base station and sends out the information on the fact that the set has entered into the output limiting mode. The information includes the portable telephone set management number, telephone number reply message and a notification information flag to the portable telephone output limiting management device, which then takes the place of the portable telephone set to reply to the call-out from the base station until the time the portable telephone set receiving the output limiting command exits the use-limited site.
A wireless communications terminal stores owner information and function states. A terminal control device transmits, to the wireless communications terminal, control data including control target information for specifying a terminal to be controlled and function state change information indicating a change made in the function states of the terminal. The wireless communications terminal determines, based on the received control target information and the stored owner information, whether or not a function state(s) is to be changed, and changes the stored function states in accordance with the determination result. The wireless communications terminal transmits, to the terminal control device, a process end notification including the terminal's own identification information and indicating whether or not the function state(s) has been changed.
Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for limiting a communication range of a fixed wireless terminal. The method comprises the steps of generating and radio-transmitting communication maintaining data through a transmitting unit in a fixed device; receiving, through a receiving unit of a mobile device, the communication maintaining data transmitted from the fixed device, and judging by a receiving processor whether or not the inputted communication maintaining data corresponds to that stored in the receiving processor; outputting a communication permitting signal from the receiving processor to a CPU when the inputted communication maintaining data corresponds to that stored in the receiving processor, to maintain communication; and outputting a communication forbidding signal from the receiving processor to the CPU when the inputted communication maintaining data does not correspond to that stored in the receiving processor, to interrupt communication.
A power source is configured to notify an external monitoring device of a condition such as a low power condition of the power source. The power source has an associated controller that monitors the condition of the power source. The power source receives a first threshold condition for a power source, establishes a communications channel with an external monitoring device, transmits a notification related to the first threshold condition of the power source to the external monitoring device through the communications channel and discontinues the established communications channel based on a reception condition of the external monitoring device. The controller terminates notification after reception of an acknowledgment sent by the external monitoring device or after an elapsed time. The communications channel can be a wireless communications channels or can be a network such as the Internet.
