Abstract
A flange for a medical collecting bag having an aperture allowing bodily fluids or exudates to enter the bag. The flange has an inner rim delimiting the aperture therein, and a central area encircling the aperture, which area has a predetermined weakening line pattern. The force needed for removing the bag flange from the skin or a body side member is smaller than the force needed for breaking the weakening lines which enables a simple gradual enlargement of the aperture of an ostomy device for adaptation of the aperture to the size of the stoma or for adaptation of the aperture to the size of a wound, as well as a complete removal of the bag flange when substituting the bag.

7258680 - Device for subcutaneous administration of a medicament to a patient - Owned by Unomedical A/S (Birkeroed,DE)

A device for subcutaneous administration of a medicament to a patient is disclosed, including a cannula housing with an interior chamber, a cannula connected to the housing and being in flow communication with the chamber, a flexible tubing having a first end and a second end, the first end being coupled to the housing such that the tubing is in flow communication with the chamber, and wherein, the second end carries a source coupling for coupling the tubing to the medicament. The tubing between the first and the second end is folded for forming a configuration with at least two essentially parallel courses of tubing, the tubing is secured in the configuration by a first holder device arranged between the first and second end of the tubing; and that the tubing can be displaced in relation to the first holder device for varying the length of the courses of tubing.

An infusion device (1) comprising a housing (3) with an upper face plate (4) and a lower face plate (5) and an adhesive sheet material (101) placed on the lower face plate (5) for securing the infusion device (1) to the skin, the adhesive sheet material (101) comprising a backing layer (102) which has an adhesive layer (103) on one surface, the adhesive layer (103) being covered by a removable release liner (104), and wherein the release liner (104) comprising at least one score line (106) comprising a spiral or helix, wherein the starting point (107) for the score line (106) is placed in the periphery (108) of the release liner (104) and wherein the score line (106) continues to an end point placed on the border of the periphery (110) of a central aperture (105) of the release liner.

7115112 - Device for subcutaneous administration of a medicament to a patient and tubing for same - Owned by Unomedical A/S (Lynge,DK)

The invention relates to a device for subcutaneous administration of a medicament to a patient, comprising a cannula housing (1) with an interior chamber; a cannula (2) connected to the cannula housing (1) and being in flow communication with the interior chamber; a tubing (4) manufactured from a flexible material and having a first end (4'), coupled to the cannula housing (1) in such a manner that the tubing (4) is in flow communication with the interior chamber; and wherein the tubing (4), at the other end, carries a source coupling (5), by which the tubing can be coupled to a source for said medicament. The invention is characterised in that, at least over a section of its length, the tubing comprises a longitudinally extending, external groove (12) and a longitudinally extending, external protrusion (11) arranged diametrically opposite the groove (12) and complementary with said groove (12); and that, using the flexibility of its material, the groove (12) is configured for being able to receive and secure the protrusion (11) in a releasable manner in a configuration of the tubing (4), in which the tubing (4) is folded (9) for forming parallel courses of tubing (14, 24, 34). The invention also relates to a tubing configured for use in said device.

7147623 - Infusion device with needle shield - Owned by Unomedical A/S (Lynge,DK)

The invention relates to a medication infusion set of the type having a flexible cannula adapted for subcutaneous placement, in combination with an insertion, or puncturing, device comprising an insertion needle extending through the cannula and beyond the outer tip thereof, the insertion device further comprising a shield adapted to cover the insertion needle when the latter is withdrawn from the cannula. More specifically, the invention provides a fully integrated shield member having a position in which it covers the cannula and the needle when the insertion device is connected to the housing, a position allowing the cannula to be inserted when the insertion device is connected to the housing, and a position in which the shield covers the needle and the outer tip thereof when the insertion device has been removed from the housing. By this arrangement the need for a separate cover to protect the needle prior to use can be dispensed with.

7407493 - Container for disposable needle or cannula - Owned by Unomedical A/S (Birkeroed,DK)
