The invention relates especially to a method for producing a product that is secure against fraud, i.e. a security product. The inventive method for producing a security product with a high degree of protection against fraud or tampering is characterized as follows: in a first step, a non-personalized and/or non-individualized support is provided with a non-personalized and/or non-individualized security element (100); in a second step and/or in further steps, the non-personalized and/or non-individualized support and the non-personalized and/or non-individualized security element (100) are personalized and/or individualized; a structure (101) that is optically effective in the security element (100) produces at least two especially, color effects; at least one of the color effects (106,107) only appears within a certain angular range to a vertical to the surface of the security element, and a personalizable and/or individualizable layer (102) that is provided in the security element (100) and/or a personalized and/or individualized layer that is provided in the security element (100) shows personalization and/or individualization information.
The present invention relates to a multi-layer body which is a paper document with a hot stamping film embossed thereon. The hot stamping film has a laser-sensitive layer in which a laser-induced color image is produced by laser treatment. Arranged on the document are further security identifications such as a security print, which is in the form of guilloche patterns, fluorescent threads, and a security strip. Water marks are also provided in the paper document.
The invention relates to a process for the production of a multi-layer image, preferably a multi-color image. A transfer film which is applied to a paper ubstrate and which is treated with laser irradiation is used. The transfer film has a laser-sensitive layer and a background layer arranged therebeneath. The laser-sensitive layer comprises laser-sensitive material, for example laser-sensitive pigments or other laser-sensitive coloring agents. The laser-sensitive material in the layer is region-wise bleached by laser irradiation. That results in a so-called laser-induced image component. As it is transparent or partly transparent, the background layer which is arranged therebeneath and which can have a printed image then becomes visible from above in that region. That therefore gives a multi-layer image which is formed by the laser-induced image component and by the background layer jointly.
The invention relates to a card-shaped data carrier consisting of at least one layer (1, 2, 3). Visually readable information in the form of a changed optical characteristic is introduced into the layer. Said characteristic is changed by irreversibly changing the material by means of a laser beam. The absorption capacity of said layer (1, 2, 3) for at least one wavelength (.lamda..+-..lamda.) is at least partially reduced due to the laser radiation.
Reflective members for use in encoder systems are provided. One embodiment comprises a reflective member comprising a reflective layer, at least another layer, and a reflective pattern comprising a first portion having a first reflective property and a second portion having a different reflective property. The reflective layer forms at least a part of the reflective pattern. In addition, the aforementioned first portion of the reflective member has a width of less than half of the grating period. The reflective member enables measurement of at least one operational attribute of an object.
The invention relates to a method for the recording of data, in particular, personal data on and/or in a data support, by means of electromagnetic radiation. A corresponding data support is made ready, on and/or in which a dye is at least locally provided and said dye is irradiated by means of said electromagnetic radiation of at least one wavelength range, such that a change in the color of the dye by bleaching occurs in the region of the irradiation. Said color change may be determined by machine and/or by the human eye. An improved counterfeiting and manipulation security for the data support is thus achieved.
