A bracketing member adapted to mount a motorcycle to the upper forward region of the bed of a pickup truck with mounting straps. The bracketing member having an elongate member adapted to extending in the lateral direction and having a mounting region and an attachment region that are not coplanar to provide rigidity. The plane that the attachment region is positioned in a substantially in line with the direction of pull of the mounting straps.
A vehicle apparatus and a vehicle rack system comprising at least two vehicle rack apparatus are disclosed. The vehicle rack apparatus comprises one or more clamp assemblies adapted to couple to a panel of a trailer or a truck. One or more front members are coupled to a portion of each of the clamp assemblies. A platform assembly is coupled to a portion of each of the clamp assemblies. The platform assemblies include three spaced apart members. The vehicle apparatus further comprises one or more ramp assemblies coupled to a portion of the platform assemblies so that when a an end of the ramp assemblies contacts a portion of a surface of the truck bed or the trailer bed, the platform assemblies are elevated. Methods of using the vehicle apparatus and system are disclosed.
A tie-down device that may be used in or on a vehicle, equipment or other structure to mount cargo or other objects to the vehicle, equipment or other structure includes mounting openings, a structural hem that surrounds at least a portion of the tie-down device, and a structural bead that surrounds at least a portion of the mounting openings. The configuration of the structural hem and the structural bead improves the positioning and alignment of mounting fasteners through the mounting openings and also improves the securement of the tie-down device to the vehicle, equipment or other structure.
