A device for extracting and ejecting a cartridge case in a firearm applied to a breechblock equipped with windows (17) on opposite sides, comprises an extraction element (19), equipped with an engagement means (28) suitable for holding a cartridge case (15), and an ejector element (20), equipped with a thrusting plane (33) suitable for taking away the cartridge case (15) from the firearm through one of such windows (17), as well as comprising a removable retainer element (27) for the extraction and ejector elements (19, 20), the extraction and ejector elements (19, 20) being housed equally effectively in seats (18).
The invention relates to a repeating weapon, especially to a repeating rifle, with a cartridge chamber and a bolt block, which contains a bolt that can move relative to the cartridge chamber and that can be locked by means of a locking device in a closed position. For improving the safety against elevated gas pressure, the cartridge chamber is embodied such that a cartridge can be pushed completely into the cartridge chamber and the cartridge chamber has a rear sealing surface sealing flush with the case bottom of the cartridge for contacting a breech block on a front bolt head of the bolt.
Fire arm with selection device for right or left-hand cartridge case ejection comprising a barrel (12), a breech bolt holder slide (21), a breech bolt (18) fitted with firing pin (19) and a frame (14) fitted with openings on both sides (15) for firing the cartridge case (16), in which the selection device comprises two sliding extractors (33, 33') in housings (32) on opposite sides of the breech bolts (18) and an ejection control component (23), the extractors (33, 33') comprise an engagement terminal (34), suitable for acting on the cartridge case (16), and a shaft (36) protruding out from the back of the breech bolt (18) bearing a helical spring (37), for the intervention of the control component (23).
A centerfire autoloading pistol including a loaded chamber indicator to identify the presence of a cartridge loaded in the firing chamber. The pistol may generally include a housing having an external surface and defining a chamber to receive a cartridge, a barrel unit disposed at least partially in the housing, and an indicating element having two ends. In one embodiment, the indicating element may be pivotally mounted to the housing proximate to one of the ends. The indicating element is displaceable in response to contact by the cartridge from a first position which may in one embodiment correspond to an absence of a cartridge loaded in the chamber, to a second position which may in one embodiment correspond to a presence of a cartridge loaded in the chamber. A biasing member, such as a spring, may be provided for biasing the indicating element towards the first position. In one embodiment, the indicating element protrudes outwards from the external surface of the pistol in response to contact by the cartridge to provide visual and tactile indication of a loaded chamber condition to a user of the pistol. Initial which may include alphanumeric characters, symbols, colors, or a combination thereof may be provided on the indicating element.
An extractor mechanism with improved reliability is provided having an extractor arm pivotally mounted within a pocket in a firearm slide. The extractor arm includes a body portion and a hook portion, the body portion being disposed within the pocket and the hook portion extending out of the pocket from an opening proximate to the breech face. The hook portion is biased toward the firearm's firing axis and includes a distal edge sized to engage a cartridge rim. The hook portion preferably has a height greater than the body portion and the portions are preferably connected by a curved portion. Two surfaces preferably meet at the distal edge of the hook portion, with the surface more proximal to the breech face being substantially parallel to the breech face and the surface more distant from the breech face, diverging from the breech face at an acute angle.
