System and method for multiplexing media information over a network using reduced communications resources and prior knowledge/experience of a called or calling party
A system and method for managing communication in an integrated services network ensures that media information is displayed on at least one of two terminals during a call without using any transmission bandwidth. This is achieved by having at least one of the terminals pre-store the media information in a memory and then controlling the terminal to recall and display this information when certain events occur during the call. The media information may include animated information, images, and short-time video scripts. This information and broader band media such as streaming video may be displayed on the same terminal. The display of media information may also be controlled based on the past knowledge and experience callers have about one another and/or their communications equipment.
After consecutive photographing by consecutive photographing function of a camera at step S1 or selecting animation from an album function at step S2, display transit to a self-animation producing screen at step S3. In a display area (#1) on right side of a display screen, picked up images are displayed in thumbnail form, and in a display area (#2), images set for respective frame numbers of the self-animation are displayed in thumbnail form. In the display area (#1), a determination key is depressed in the condition where a cursor is focused on the image, the currently selected image is set in the frame of the self-produced animation. The selected image is displayed in the corresponding frame number of the display area (#2) in thumbnail form.
This invention describes horizontal and vertical downscaling of the real-time video image using a camera sensor and a processing block (a base band engine in camera-phone mobile devices) for a real-time viewfinder display and/or video imaging. Horizontal downscaling is performed by the camera sensor and vertical downscaling is performed by the processing block. The invented image format enables the reduction of memory, processing power and bus capability, when the smaller resolution output image is needed to process from the higher resolution input image.
A mobile terminal that is capable of displaying a screen image during a specific state, which includes a character memory for storing character images and a screen image created by a combination of the character images and which is displayable during the specific state of the mobile terminal. The mobile terminal further includes a controller for controlling the display of the screen image, and a display unit for displaying the screen image. When an event occurs in the mobile terminal, the controller further processes the event and changes the display data of the screen image according to the event processing result, and displays the changed screen image during the specific state of the mobile terminal.
