A card connector (100) comprises an insulated housing (10), a plurality of electrical contacts (20), an L-shaped shield member (30) assembled in the housing and a guide member (40) located in the shield member. The shield member comprises a main portion (31) and a pair of lateral portions (35, 38) each comprising a guide groove (354, 384) and an L-shaped receiving space (39) surrounded by the main portion and the pair of lateral portions. Each lateral portion has a plurality of tabs (36) projecting into the guide groove. The guide member has a guide channel (16) parallel to and laterally offset from the guide grooves.
An electrical card connector includes a shell (1) structured as L-shaped, an insulating housing (2) covered by the shell, a plurality of terminals (3) retained in the insulating housing, a triangular guiding plate (4) placed in the card room for guiding a card insertion, and a bottom plate (7) confirming in shape with the shell placed under the bottom plate. The shell has a shorter side wall (13) and a longer side wall (12) opposite to the shorter side wall, a card room defined by the shell for receiving a card. The guiding plate locks with the bottom plate, therefore, the guiding plate and the bottom plate are locked with each other more firmly.
An electrical connector assembly comprises a hard disk (2), an electrical connector (3) and a bracket (1) for receiving the hard disk (2) and the electrical connector (3) therein. The bracket (1) comprises a base portion (10), a pair of sidewalls (11) extending upwardly from the base portion (10) a first recess (110) and a first elastic plate (126) partly receiving in the first recess (110). Besides, the two sidewalls (11) define a pair of enveloping member (12) closing to each other. Each enveloping member (12) comprises a second recess (122) and a second elastic plate (126) engaging with the second recess (122). When assembled, the second elastic plate (126) is partly received in the second recess (122).
A memory card connector includes a metal shell defining a receiving space for receiving a memory card inserted into the receiving space in an insertion direction through an insert opening generally at a front end of the shell. An insulating socket is disposed generally at a rear end of the metal shell and includes a plurality of conductive terminals. A push/push card ejector is provided and includes a slider. The push/push card ejector also includes an actuating lever that extends transversely of the insertion direction and has a first end pivotally attached to the slider and a second end engageable with the memory card for engaging and ejecting the memory card. The connector may be configured so as to minimize packaging space outside of the metal shell.
