A combination lock and padlock combination as a lock is disclosed that includes a spring-biased pivot assembly comprising a locking dog and an engagement member; a push button pivotably disposed on the pivot assembly; a U-shaped shackle comprising a slotted leg for locking the locking dog; a spring-biased L-shaped catch assembly comprising a sliding member at one end and a tab projected from the other end; and a spring-biased opening warning assembly pivotably provided in the housing and comprising a locked mark at one end exposed at a window in a locked position of the lock and an open mark adapted to switch with the locked mark. Once the lock is opened by a key by one of a number of persons sharing the lock, the open mark is exposed on the window and other person(s) may be aware of same by seeing the open mark.
A dual padlock of the present invention includes a housing, a shackle, a locking device, a locking spring, a transmission device, a key lock assembly, a code lock assembly, and a button member. The shackle is openably provided on the housing. The locking device is received in the chamber of the housing and engaged with the shackle. The key lock assembly includes a key cylinder connected to the transmission device and the locking device. The button member is connected to a shaft of the code lock assembly and the lock device. Therefore, user may insert a key into the key lock assembly and turns to unlock the padlock. User also may input the right code to the code lock assembly that will unlock the pad lock too.
A dual-mode padlock can be unlatched by dialing a combination assembly or an associated key. The dual-mode padlock has a latching element movably mounted inside to engage with or disengage from a latch. When the dual-mode padlock is locked, the user can directly push the latch into a mounting groove to engage with the latching element and make the dual-mode padlock locked, without use of the associated key or dialing of the combination assembly. This makes it timesaving and convenient to lock the dual-mode padlock.
A padlock includes a housing, a shackle, a limit knob, a movable member and a first locking mechanism. The shackle is movably mounted on the housing and has a root section extended into the housing and a free section having a first end extended from the root section and a second end extended outside of the housing. The limit knob is movably mounted on the housing to control movement of the free section of the shackle. The movable member is movably mounted in the limit knob. Additionally, the first locking mechanism is mounted in the housing to control movement of the limit knob and the movable member.
A padlock for luggage that can be operated by setting a combination or by inserting and turning a key is provided with an indicator that normally displays a first state when the lock being used in a normal way as a combination operated padlock, but which displays a second state if the padlock has been opened by utilizing a key.
