The packet communication apparatus comprises first and second packetization sections 8 and 9 for converting signals transmitted from signal processing sections 2 and 7 to packets of predetermined forms, priority packet interleaving means 10 for interleaving the packet from the second packetization section 9 in the packet from the first packetization section 8 even during a transmission of the packet from the first packetization section 8 when the packet from the second packetization section 9 is input thereto, and a transmitter 3 for transmitting the packet output from the priority packet interleaving means 10 to a packet transmission communication medium 4.
