Abstract
Abstract of
DE3332890
The application relates to a device for measuring bar-shaped workpieces on so-called crosscut saws. On these crosscut saws, the workpieces must be cut to a (variable) given defined length dimension. In order to define a desired workpiece length, use can in principle be made of an inch-rule, a mechanical measuring device or electronics. The present application combines a known electronic measuring device and its associated transducer (e.g. incremental rotary transducer) with a constructionally matched displaceable stop. The electronic digital display constantly indicates at the same time the variable spacing between cutting disc and the displaceable stop. The workpiece length then corresponds exactly to this spacing which is equal to the desired dimension.
