The outer links of a two-layer link bracelet are substantially wider in the longitudinal direction of the bracelet than the inner links, which are in contact with the skin of the wearer so that the outer links are spaced from the skin. Openings in the outer links permit air to flow into the spaces under the outer links and between the inner links.
An expansion bracelet, particularly for wristwatches, has a row of connected links. Each of these links has a plate member, a pair of solid outer members connected to said plate member at opposite lateral sides thereof, as seen with respect to the elongation of the row, and a solid inner member which is located between the outer members and partly projects beyond them in longitudinal direction of the row. The inner member has an underside which faces towards the plate member and is provided with a pair of transversely extending channels. A pair of substantially C-shaped brackets are provided, each having a bight portion pivotably received in one of the channels, and a pair of leg portions. The leg portions of one of the brackets are pivotably connected to the plate member so that this one bracket can be tilted longitudinally of the row out from between the outer members of the link. A pair of biassing springs are provided, each surrounding one of the bight portions. The biassing spring associated with the one bracket permanently opposes the tilting of the latter. The other bracket is connected in the same manner with a plate member of adjacent link, and its associated biassing spring also opposes its tilting.
An expansion bracelet, particularly for wrist-watches, has a row of connected links. A flexible band, in particular a wrist-watch strap, has an upper and a lower layer of link members which are connected to each other by U-shaped clips. The clips cooperate with leaf springs located in the link members in such a manner that the flexures of the clips are in engagement with the flexures of the leaf springs provided at the respective ends. The inner sides of the link members are provided in addition to a recess arranged at each end face thereof with cut-outs through which the flexures of the leaf springs can protrude during stretching of the band.
An adjust pin (1) for connecting a plurality of blocks (2) to each other to make up a wrist watch band (3) is formed of a metal with a property having a superelastic region where a stress remains constant against variation in strain. The adjust pin (1) is provided with a bent part (5) for causing a bending stress in the superelastic region to act on the inner wall face of a connecting through-hole (2a) of a block (2) in a state wherein the block (2) is joined with an adjoining block (2). When the adjust pin (1) is inserted in the blocks (2), and the bent part (5) is positioned in the connecting through-hole (2a), the bent part (5) provides a force acting on the inner wall of the connecting through-hole (2a) by the agency of the bending stress in the superelastic region, thereby securely holding the adjust pin (1) by a spring force thereof.
