An improved identification locket having magnifying lens, a case, a frame for retaining a transparent transcript and means for opening and closing the case, also includes a support for maintaining the lens at a fixed distance from the frame and for preventing movement between the cover and frame in the open position. The support includes a first and second slotted arm attached to a first and second slide pin; each arm having a keeper for lockingly retaining the slide pin when the locket is in the open position.
A magnifier for optically enlarging objects placed therebeneath. The inventive device includes a frame supporting a substantially rectangular magnifying glass. A pair of support assemblies extend from opposed sides of the frame and cooperate to support the magnifying glass above a support surface. The support assemblies can be adjusted in infinitely small increments to position the magnifying glass at a desired height and to effect focusing of the device.
Folding binoculars having a pair of eyepiece frames and a pair of objective frames which are swingably supported by the rear and front edges of a pair consisting of left and right cover frames that can open and close with respect to each other. The binoculars become usable when the cover frames are swung open, thereby allowing the eyepiece and objective frames to be raised and set up by virtue of the resilience of set-up springs, and thereby aligning the optical axes of eyepieces and objectives. When the cover frames are swung to close and, accordingly, when the eyepiece or objective frames are moved toward each other to contact each other, the lens frames become guided by folding guide portions formed on the inner edges of the lens frames by virtue of contact between these guide portions, whereby the eyepiece and object frames are swung against the resilience of the springs, and they become folded and received within the frame covers. Thus, the folding binoculars can be folded to form a compact structure when they are not in use.
The casing of a multi-function key holder has a front casing portion which includes parallel top and bottom parts that extend forwardly and that are spaced apart vertically to define a lens receiving space therebetween, and a rear casing portion which extends rearwardly from the front casing portion and which confines an air chamber. The rear casing portion is formed with an air inlet adapted to permit blowing of air into the air chamber, and an air outlet adapted to permit releasing of the air that was blown into the air chamber, thereby permitting generation of a whistling sound output. A planar magnifying lens piece is disposed in the lens receiving space, and has an edge section mounted pivotally on the front casing portion. The lens piece is movable between a concealed position, where the lens piece is confined between the top and bottom parts of the front casing portion, and an extended position, where the lens piece is exposed from the top and bottom parts of the front casing portion. A key chain has a key holding end adapted for holding a bunch of keys thereon, and a mounting end opposite to the key holding end and mounted on the casing.
A combined timepiece and identification device (10, 50) contains personal identification and/or medical information about the person wearing the device. The device includes a housing (13, 51) in which first and second panels (30, 31 or 58, 59) are hingedly mounted for movement between closed positions stored in the housing and exposed positions generally parallel to one another outside the housing at opposite ends thereof. One of the panels carries a piece of microfilm (38, 60) containing the information, and the other panel carries a lens (39, 61) adapted to focus on the microfilm when the panels are in their opened positions outside the housing. The timepiece (11, 50) comprises an openable cover (20, 63) for the housing so that the panels are enclosed and protected when the cover is closed. Springs (36, 37 or 71, 72) urge the panels toward their opened, unfolded positions when the cover is opened.
A key chain with magnifying glass is provided including a housing having a key ring mounted thereon. Also included is a magnifying glass situated on the housing.
