Blends are disclosed of monoolefin rubber with high-diene hydrocarbon rubber in which the monoolefin rubber is in the form of discrete vulcanized particles dispersed in a matrix of unvulcanized high-diene hydrocarbon rubber. The blends can be easily processed, and in a subsequent step, the high-diene hydrocarbon portion cured to give rubber articles having the ozone resistance of the monoolefin rubber and the good physical properties of the high-diene hydrocarbon rubber.
A rubber composition obtained by (a) kneading at least one low air permeable rubber having vulcanizable functional group and a curing agent, which can vulcanize the low air permeable rubber having vulcanizable functional group, at a temperature within a range where the low air permeable rubber having vulcanizable functional group is not vulcanized, and (b) blending 25 to 100 parts by weight of at least one rubber having vulcanizable carbon-carbon double bond per 100 parts by weight of the low air permeable rubber having vulcanizable functional group with the kneaded product, kneading at a temperature within a range where the low air permeable rubber having vulcanizable functional group can be vulcanized to selectively vulcanize the low air permeable rubber having vulcanizable functional group. The rubber composition of the present invention is superior in adhesion property by vulcanization to other diene rubber compositions and, from the rubber composition, the rubber molded article not inferior in low air permeability can be obtained.
A rubber article formed from a rubber composition having a rubber component is provided wherein the article has a texture coating thereon. A texture coating mixture is formed from a mixture of a rubber composition having a rubber component substantially the same as employed to form the rubber article, and rubber particles also having a rubber component substantially the same as that of the rubber article. A method of forming a rubber article is also provided which includes coating a rubber article with such a texture coating mixture.
A pneumatic tire comprises a carcass extending between bead portions through a tread portion and a pair of sidewall portions, and a sidewall rubber disposed axially outside the carcass in each sidewall portion, the sidewall rubber comprising an axially outer layer and and an axially inner layer, the outer layer disposed along the outside of the tire and containing powder rubber, the inner layer disposed along the axially inside of the outer layer and containing no powder rubber, the thickness of the outer layer being 3 to 50% of the total thickness of the sidewall rubber, and the outer layer composed of 100 parts by weight of a base rubber compound and 5 to 20 parts by weight of the powder rubber. The powder rubber has a maximum particle diameter of 30 to 80 meshes.
A color masterbach resin composition for a packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material which does not adversely affect photographic properties of the photographic photosensitive material, comprising a light-shielding material in a concentration thrice as much as or more that of the packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material, and a thermoplastic resin of which 50 wt. % or more is the same type as a thermoplastic resin occupying 50 wt. % or more of the total thermoplastic resin composing the packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material, production thereof, a packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material formed of a color masterbatch resin composition, and production thereof. In the color masterbatch resin composition and the packaging material for a photographic photosensitive material of the invention, light-shielding material is dispersed uniformly by employing a special resin composition, and thereby, adverse affects upon photographic hpotosensitive materials are prevented, and favorable appearance can be ensured. Moreover, fog with time, abnormal sensitivity, abrasion, pressure marks, etc. can be prevented.
