A display tag, of sheet material, for use on a forwardly extending support hook is provided. It has a mounting portion on one end for securing it to the proximal end of a support hook, and an elongate portion adjacent the mounting portion for extending forwardly of the hook to present product information at a distal end of the elongate portion. The tag has one or more flaps or tabs which are die-cut therein and provided with bar receiving cut-outs for receiving a forwardly extending part of a support hook therein. In one embodiment, four tabs are provided on the mounting portion of the tag for receiving mutually perpendicular extending bars of a bi-directional wire rack therein. The bar receiving cut-outs in the tabs are circular or elongate in shape and stabilize the tag in the longitudinal direction on the support hook.
Discloses a method of making scanning hooks with a release agent on the label attachment tab. Stock is formed by laminating a plastic sheet which will provide the main carrier body of the overlay and a thin film which has a release agent strongly bonded to its outer surface. The film is bonded to the main plastic layer, such as by an adhesive. Overlay blanks are cut from the resulting laminate stock as by die cutting. The overlay blanks then are bent and mounted on scanning hooks, with the tab portion extending essentially vertically and presenting an outwardly exposed release surface which provides ready appliability, removability and replaceability of merchandising labels which bear information related to the products supported on the hanger.
An identification tag for eyeglasses, spectacles and the like is formed from a flexible member having two opposed end portions and a central portion disposed therebetween. Each end portion has a pair of slots and ribs in parallel arrangement with each other. The slots and ribs are perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the member. A peripheral edge of the tag is narrower at the central portion of the tag. The parallel slots and rib members coact for receiving a stem portion of an eyeglass frame to maintain the tag at a select position on the stem. An end portion of the tag can be folded back over on itself so that the slots at that end portion are brought into registration with each other for receiving the frame stem which is threaded through the aligned slots. The identification tag does not impede the line of sight through the lens, does not interfere with the application and positioning of the eyeglass frame to the wearer's face and does not detract from the appearance of the frame when a user is trying on the eyeglasses.
An article support and display device for use with a support fixture. At least two spaced apart merchandise pegs are removably supported by the fixture at their proximal ends and have free distal ends for accepting and supporting merchandise for display. A planar sheet material acts as a baffle for residing proximate merchandise to be displayed and for supporting tag molding extending over the full width of the merchandise display.

A label holder for use with a display hanger includes an elongated plastic strip, a mounting flange folded downwardly from the rear end of the strip, and a label-holding tab folded downwardly from the front end of the strip. Side wings are folded downwardly from the side edges of the strip and impart longitudinal stiffness to the strip. The lower edges of the forward portions of the side wings are scalloped and help retain merchandise in uniformly spaced relation on the front portion of the display hanger.
