A baby carrier designed to be worn by an adult. Principally, the carrier would be worn in front, but it is also adapted for the back or side of the adult. The carrier includes a harness worn by the adult with an attached flap having leg openings for the child's legs. The flap is fixed to the harness at its lower edge and is releasably attached at the upper edge. A head rest for the baby is removably attached to the flap.
A baby carrier 1 comprises a carrier body 2 having a front cover portion 3, a crotch cover portion 4 and a back cover portion 5, which are integrally formed in continuation, shoulder belts 6, 7 extending upwardly from the back cover portion 5, one-touch buckles 12, 13 at the ends of the shoulder belts 6, 7, and cover-equipped buckles 20, 21 beside the front cover portion 3 which engage with the one-touch buckles 12, 13. A baby carrier 1 further comprises hook members 31, 32 beside the front cover portion 3, annular members 28, 29, and 28', 29'on the back cover portion 5 which engage with the hook members 31, 32. Moreover, there are provided a head support 8 for supporting a baby's head, and a head guard 9 for protecting the top portion of a baby's head, which is able to fold toward the back side of a head support 8 and stand up toward the baby's side. Thereby, the changing operation between a longitudinal support type and a lateral support type of a baby carrier 1 can be performed with ease, and a baby can be prevented from falling down when it is held laterally or sideways.
A baby carrier includes a carrier body having a front cover portion, a crotch cover portion and a back cover portion which are integrally formed in continuation of one another. A pair of shoulder belts extend from opposite ends of the back cover portion and include first buckles at the tips of first belt members. Second buckles detachably engaging with the first buckles are connected opposite ends of the front cover portion via second belt members. Hook members are provided at the opposite ends of the front cover portion. At least a pair of ring members detachably engaging with the hook members are provided at the back cover portion. A headrest for supporting the back of the baby's head is provided at the back cover portion. A head support includes a head support body of which the bottom portion is attached to the headrest, and band-like portions laterally extending from both sides of the head support body, whereby tips of the band-like portions are attached to the back cover portion or the shoulder belts. The head support body stands up from the headrest and protects the top of the baby's head when the baby is supported in a horizontal position. The head support body is positioned integrally with the headrest and supports the back of the baby's head when the baby is supported in a vertical position.
A baby shoulder cradle having a flexible cradle body adapted to carry the baby, a first shoulder strap and a second shoulder strap for hanging on the user's shoulders, and a waist strap adapted to secure the cradle body to the user's waist, the first shoulder strap being diagonally fastened to the back panel of the cradle body and length-adjustably equipped with an adjustment buckle, the second shoulder having one end fixedly fastened to the cradle body and the other end looped and slidably coupled to the first shoulder strap.
An infant carrier configured to be worn by a wearer is disclosed. The infant carrier includes a seat support configured to support an infant's bottom, a back support, which is integral with the seat support, a head support which is integral with the back support and a strap support system which is worn around the wearer's torso to support the infant in the infant carrier. The seat support is diaper-like in shape with a front notch to prevent chafing the infant. Preferably, the strap support system is made up of a single pair of straps. Preferably, there is a separation (e.g., a seam) between the back support and the head support which allows the head support to be folded down when not being used to support the infant's head.
An improved child carrier capable of carrying both infants and larger toddlers. The device features a removable infant seat insert to accommodate the seating requirements of smaller infants in the larger seat panel. The infant seat insert may either be removably attached to the device or in an alternate embodiment is deployable from a pocket formed in the body support panel. The carrier also features a strapping arrangement that allows lateral translation of the shoulder straps to aid in comfort during use and an arrangement at the waist band to keep the seat of the device generally upright when the wearer bends forward.
