Abstract
Known intelligent network architectures do not comprise a mechanism by means of which it would be possible to notify a service control point (SCP) of a recurrent use of supplementary services or of the activation of the supplementary services at a service switching point (SSP). In accordance with the invention, the service control point (SCP) informs a mobile services switching center (MSC) in a message RequestNotificationCharging of the events the mobile services switching center (MSC) is to report to the service control point (SCP). The mobile services switching center (MSC) reports the existence of said events to the service control point (SCP) in a message EventNotificationCharging.

6744872 - Method for executing several services during a telephone call - Owned by France Telecom (FR)

This method comprises a preliminary phase for realizing services that includes breaking down, at least partially, each service to be provided in service elements that bring together processing sequences common to several services or interacting with other services, processing the call originated from a telephone network customer including transmission of a service request through the telephone network up to a service control point adapted for realizing a requested service, and execution of the requested service by the service control point, which includes setting up an initial information message and transmitting this message to other invoked services during the telephone call, the message containing a list of service element identifiers subjected to a preliminary authorization demand, a list of unauthorized service element identifiers, and a list of identifiers of information types that must be notified to the service from other services that were invoked during the telephone call.

6912383 - Implementing method for adding monetary value of mobile prepayment service in different locations - Owned by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. (Shenzhen,CN)

The invention discloses a method, which implements recharging at different locations for mobile prepaid service, based on intelligent network. The method sets SDP of intelligent network outside of SCP. All rechargeable card data of mobile prepaid service are stored in the said SDP. When mobile prepaid service subscriber dials access number for recharging, call is routered to SSP. After analyses signaling number of the call, SSP determines home SCP of it and reports intelligent call to the home SCP. Then, all the recharging procedure is controlled by the home SCP. The home SCP updates subscriber data and rechargeable card state, through interaction with the said SDP. By implementing the invention method, complication of engineering, data management and statistic is reduced and it is easier to expand.

6980632 - Method and system for providing billing capability for a service node in an advanced intelligent network environment - Owned by AT&T Corp. (New York, NY)

Embodiments of the present invention relate to billing for services in an Advanced Intelligent Network (AIN) environment. A first call is received at a service node from a service switching point located in the AIN. A second call is established through the service switching point to a called party. The first call is bridged with the second call and the bridged call is monitored for signaling information. The bridged call is processed based on the monitored signaling information. A billing module is created for the processed call at the service node. The billing module may include service values related to billing information for the processed call. The processed call may be merged back into the service switching point and the created billing module for the processed call may be sent to the service switching point for ultimate delivery to a billing system.

6980791 - Charging control of telecommunication network subscriber - Owned by Nokia Corporation (Espoo,FI)

A method and arrangement for charging a telecommunication network subscriber by means of an intelligent network (IN), the arrangement comprising at least one IN service switching point (102) and at least one IN service control point (104) and being arranged to route a call of a subscriber (100) from an originating switching point (101) or a transfer point to a particular service switching point (102) for producing an IN service, to send an enquiry from the service switching point (102) to the service control point (104) in response to call routing to the service switching point (102), to send instructions from the service control point (104) to the service switching point (102) for carrying out the subscriber (100) charging in response to the enquiry received by the the service control point (104), said instructions comprising information whether subscriber charging is to be performed by the service switching point.

7570616 - Mobile cellular communication device presentation of user notification of active communication session handoff between radio technologies that are not directly compatible - Owned by Alcatel-Lucent USA Inc. (Murray Hill, NJ)

An apparatus in one example comprises a mobile cellular communication device that employs one or more of a plurality of radio technologies to support one or more communication sessions of a user over one or more of a plurality of radio networks. The plurality of radio technologies comprise a first radio technology and a second radio technology, wherein the first radio technology and the second radio technology comprise respective radio technologies that are not directly compatible. The one or more communication sessions comprise an active communication session of the user, wherein the active communication is associated with the mobile cellular communication device. The plurality of radio networks comprise a first radio network and a second radio network, wherein the first radio network employs the first radio technology, wherein the second radio network employs the second radio technology. Upon a handoff of the active communication session between the respective radio technologies that are not directly compatible of the first radio network and the second radio network, the mobile cellular communication device presents to the user one or more notifications of the handoff between the radio technologies that are not directly compatible.
