There are provided a printing paper and a printer for eliminating margins of photographs and the like by using a simple structure. After printing processing has been carried out on a sheet of a printing material, the sheet is detached from the printing material along a cut line. Namely, a print having no margins is formed. Therefore, cutting position controlling mechanisms and paper cutting mechanisms as used in conventional printers are not necessary, and the structure of the printer is thereby made simple. Accordingly, since margins can be eliminated by using a simple structure, photographic printers and the like in particular are made compact and inexpensive.
