A sealing device includes a top part forming a bell and a bottom part forming a vat, receiving a container to be sealed with a film in the chamber defined by the top and bottom parts. The top part includes on a side supplying the film, a slot for the passage of the film running through a wall of the top part, and a device, preferably an inflatable pipe, for obstructing the slot and blocking the film. The wall of the top part also includes a device for inserting and/or extracting fluid, opening inside the chamber between the slot and the wall lower edge, for extracting gas under vacuum, injecting gas and/or filling the container.
A filling and sealing device includes an upper part forming a bell and a lower part forming a bowl, receiving a container to be sealed with a film in the chamber defined by the two parts. The upper part has a wall, on the side supplying the sealing film, inserting and filling elements emerging inside the chamber between the sealing film and the lower edge of the wall for inserting products into the chamber and for filling the container therein. Preferably, the upper part also includes above the inserting and filling elements, a slot for passing through the sealing film, closing and locking elements with controlled actuation for closing the slot and lock the film relative to the upper part, and elements for introducing and/or removing fluid (gas).
Various processes and relevant devices for causing polymer films, which are extensible to adhere to the edges of openings of plastic or PET or even metal containers, by releasing electrostatic charges opposite in sign to those of containers and/or the polymer films to be applied thereto. The processes derive from a single general inventive concept.
A method for packaging a product arranged in a tray is provided. An upper film located in a distance above the product is clamped along an edge surrounding the tray and is deformed in a direction extending away from the product. Subsequently, evacuating of the space surrounding the product is performed, then a raising of the tray towards the upper film and finally a sealing of the film and of the edge of the tray. In this way, the seam of the upper film and the edge of the tray is attained to be free from creases such that a long-living and good looking package is produced. Additionally, a packaging machine for performing the method is provided.
A piston-cylinder arrangement is provided for mounting and actuating the lower tool of an indexing packaging machine, which has an annular piston head that has a ratio of outer diameter to inner diameter that is less than two, and which drives a relatively oversized hollow piston rod having a protruding mounting portion that projects upwardly and outwardly from the main cylinder, to the upper end of which is mounted an upper mounting plate connected to the lower tool of a station of the packaging machine. The oversized piston rod or shaft ensures stable and tilt-free mounting of the lower tool that ensures the parallelism thereof with the upper stationary tool, while providing more than the necessary force for activating the lower tool.
In a web packaging machine (10) and method packaging a food product (P) between upper and lower webs (14 and 25), wherein the lower web (14) is transported through a series of stations which form the lower web (14) into a component of a package at a forming station (18), and receive the food product (P) at a loading station (20), and close the package with the upper web (25) at a closing station (26), a pasteurization station (300) is provided between the loading station (20) and the closing station (26) and pasteurizing the food product (P).
