A transportable and disposable feed hopper for straws or other elongated objects which feeds such objects out of the hopper in a predetermined orientation and at a selectively adjustable rate of egress.
A signal lamp configuration for directing high speed traffic and a solid state sequencer for selectively energizing the same are described. The signal lamp configuration includes a pair of arrows inclined in opposite directions and having intersecting tail portions. The arrows are sequentially energized by the solid state sequencer from tail to head to direct traffic around a hazardous condition on a roadway. The arrows may also be flashed ON and OFF simultaneously if desired.
There is provided a radiation-curable adhesive tape comprising a radiation-curable adhesive layer which is formed on a radiation transmitting substrate. The radiation-curable adhesive layer is composed of an acrylic adhesive and radiation-curable compound having carbon-carbon double bonds. The radiation-curable tape can be used preferably in processing steps for the production of semiconductor wafer, ceramics and glass employing a direct picking-up system.
Novel isoprenoidamine compounds (I) which show antiulcer activity are provided. ##STR1##
A dot matrix double print head including a front actuator and a rear actuator is disclosed. Each actuators has a print wire unit in which a plurality of print wires are slidably mounted, a plurality of electromagnets, and a plurality of armatures corresponding to the number of electromagnets. The length of the armature of the rear actuator is smaller than that of the front actuator, and thereby the moments of inertia of each of the armatures and print wires of both the actuators approach each ot...
A high density-having, granular, concentrated detergent composition comprises: (1) 30 to 50 wt. % of an anionic surface active agent, (2) 40 to 60 wt. % of an inorganic builder, (3) a fluorescent dye, (a) 5 to 25 wt. % of potassium salt of an anionic surfactant or 2 to 10 wt. % of potassium carbonate or potassium sulfate, (b) 0.1 to 3 wt. % of sodium chloride and (c) 0.2 to 5 wt. % of polyethylene glycol having a molecular weight of 6,000 to 20,000.
Cross-linked esters of hyaluronic acid are provided which result from the esterification of polyhydric alcohols with two or more carboxy groups of the hyaluronic acid polysaccharide. These cross-linked esters are useful in the field of biodegradable plastics for sanitary and surgical articles and in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic fields for the preparation of useful compositions and articles.
A method of producing a prepolymer of aromatic polythiazole from an aromatic diaminodithiol compound or a salt thereof and a dicarboxylic acid derivative, the prepolymer having a repeating unit represented by the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an aromatic group having at least one benzene nucleus, and R.sub.2 is a residual group of the dicarboxylic acid derivative, comprising the step of polymerizing the aromatic diaminodithiol compound or a salt thereof and the dicarboxy...
A control arrangement for an automatic vending machine includes a price memory device for preliminarily storing selling prices of commodities, a coin signal output section for outputting coin signals upon insertion of coils, a sum calculating device for calculating a sum of inserted coins in response to the coin signals, a difference calculating device for calculating a difference between the sum of the inserted coins and the selling price, a device for calculating the required number of coins f...
The preferred embodiment provides a unique solid-state electrolytic battery featuring high reliability and an extremely durably service life. The battery is capable of generating a large amount of dischargeble current and can be satisfactorily charged and discharged using the activated hydrogen-stored alloy/materials. This unique solid-state electrolytic battery incorporates a cathode comprised of activated hydrogen-stored alloy storing metallic-hydrogenated hydrogen; a solid-state electrolyte c...
