
A keyboard for a word processor is disclosed that combines a Universal (qwerty) keyboard with touch type editing means. Editing functions are those that provide cursor movement (e.g. the arrow keys) or the delete or insert functions. Touch typing means are those that can be accessed rapidly without large arm movements and while at least one finger of each hand remains on a home key.
