An electrical switch which can be remotely conditioned to an ON state or an OFF state for controlling the energization of a load with a single isolating component providing both control and power functions.
There are disclosed macrolides isolated from the fermentation broth, with avermectin Bla, avermectin Blb or 22,23-dihydro avermectin Bla as a substrate, of a known microorganism identified as MA-6181. The structure of the novel compounds isolated from the microorganism are presented based upon analytical studies. The compounds are highly potent antiparasitic, insecticidal, and anthelmintic agents. Compositions for such uses are also disclosed.
There are disclosed novel compounds which are derived from 22,23-dihydro avermectin Bla aglycone, 13-deoxy-22,23 dihydro overmectin Bla aglycone and 13-deoxy-22,23-dihydro overmectin Blb aglycone. The six compounds are hydroxy adducts of the substrate avermectin compound at the 12a, 24, 24a, 26, 26a and 27 positions. The hydroxy adducts are prepared by incubating the substrate with the microorganism Cunninghamella blakesleeana and isolating the hydroxy adducts from the fermentation broth. The co...

An oscilloscope has an additional vertical display mode to enable the display of an external triggering signal while it is activating the sweep-generating circuit. Triggering source, level, slope, and timing can be verified or examined without reconnection of signal cables or disturbing front-panel controls. When switching between vertical display modes, the displayed external triggering signal is in precise time relationship with signals displayed through normal vertical channels.
The invention is directed to a flat rear window for a tractor having a middle panel that is slidably coupled to the frame so it can be opened by sliding it downwardly so that it overlaps a bottom stationary panel. The middle panel is provided with guide pins that engage slots formed in guide tracks mounted to the cab. Latches are used to hold the middle panel in its closed position.
A gauge for ensuring that the uncoupling rod of a control rod drive is properly inserted in the center hole of the spud and not in one of the outer lobes, i.e., spud flow holes, which communicate with the center hole. The uncoupling rod is inserted in the spud. Then the gauge is placed on top of the spud with a centering ring protruding into the spud. The uncoupling rod is correctly installed if it is free to slide inside the gauge and the spud. The gauge is also provided with a ring to protect ...
A pressure-sensitive adhesive is disclosed which is prepared by hot melt blending paving grade asphalt, a depolymerized virgin rubber, a terpene resin, and a vulcanizable, non-depolymerized styrene-butadiene copolymer. These adhesives are especially useful in forming membranes by coating one side of an asphaltic based coated reinforcement with these adhesives. They are useful for highway repair and maintenance purposes and for waterproofing and show good adhesion to cementitious, for example asp...

Vapor of dicyclopentadienyl zirconium dicyanate is irradiated by a laser beam of a CO.sub.2 laser tuned to the stretching frequency of the .sup.S Zr-O-C bond of the dicyanate where .sup.S Zr is a selected isotope of zirconium. The excited component of the irradiated dicyanate including the .sup.S Zr is decomposed and is separated from the remainder. The dicyanate is readily prepared in large quantities, resists hydrolysis, sublimes at a temperature well below its dissociation temperature, and ha...
