The device comprises a collecting bag (3) which is connected to a catheter via a supply tube (5). Arranged between the collecting bag (3) and the supply tube (5) is a drip housing (2) serving as a germ barrier. The drip housing (2) is securely connected to a suspension plate (1) which can be attached to the hospital bed. The collecting bag (3) is secured to the suspension plate (1) in an easily removable manner and can be replaced without the drip housing (2) or the supply tube (5) having to be moved.
