The present invention relates to a process and a device for performing the process for the control of the delivery temperature of a boiler which supplies a heating plant, a reference value for the delivery temperature and a minimum limit being predetermined by an external-temperature sensor. The invention is characterised in that when the value for the heating curve (25) falls below the reference value predetermined by the minimum limit (30), the heating curve is changed over to a low value (28) which is independent of one of the two values. The invention makes it possible to minimise the effects of a possible overheating of the rooms due to a positive difference of the values between the minimum limit and the heating curve, in relation to the well-being of the inhabitants of the rooms, or to keep the energy consumption as small as possible for the heating of the building without negative effects on comfort.
