PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily prevent malfunction even when mis-recognition takes place in a voice recognition device by starting dialing after the content of voice recognition is confirmed by a caller. SOLUTION: When preparation of a voice recognition section 7 is finished, a main control section 9 informs it to a liquid crystal display section of, e.g. multi-function telephone set 1 and informs of it in a service tone to a caller. When the caller receives the notice and the multi-function telephone set 1 informs of a dial in voice, a voice recognition section 7 recognizes a voice. The main control section 9 displays the content of dial recognized by the voice recognition section 7 to the liquid crystal display section of the multi-function telephone set 1 to await the confirmation of the caller. The content of the dial displayed on the liquid crystal display section of the multi-function telephone set 1 is confirmed by the caller whether or not it is coincident with the content of the voice notice, and when the caller confirms the correctness of the content of the dial and informs of it, the main control section 9 starts actual dialing. When the recognition content of the dial differs, manual dialing is conducted.
