The invention relates to isocyanate adducts which can be prepared by reacting at least one polyisocyanate with compounds having at least two hydrogen atoms which are reactive toward isocyanate groups and have a crystalline content of less than 10 J/g determined by differential scanning calorimetry in accordance with DIN 51 004 at 20 K/min from room temperature to 250.degree. C. using a nitrogen flow of 3 l/h as carrier gas and an aromatics content reported as carbon atoms in aromatic rings of le...
Cyclic adducts of the structure ##SPC1## And linear derivatives of the structure ##SPC2## Where R and R' are organic radicals and X is oxygen, nitrogen or sulfur, exhibit bacteriostatic and fungistatic activity.
Compositions comprising at least one isocyanate-functional organosilane, preferably in combination with at least one polyisocyanate, and, optimally, at least one aromatic nitroso compound have been found to be unexpectedly effective as storage-stable, single-package, one-coat adhesive systems for bonding a variety of elastomeric materials to themselves and other solid substrates, such as metal, fabric, ceramic, and the like substrates.
An adduct is prepared by reacting (A) a compound containing at least one epoxy group per molecule, with (B) a compound containing at least one epoxide reactive group per molecule selected from the group consisting of phenolic, thiol, secondary amine and carboxyl; wherein (i) when compound (A) is a polyepoxide, compound (B) contains a single epoxide reactive group per molecule; (ii) when compound (A) is a monoepoxide it is a monoglycidyl ether and compound (B) contains at least two epoxide reacti...
A method of producing an adduct of an organometallic compound M(R.sup.1).sub.3 where M is either indium or gallium and (R.sup.1).sub.3 represents a plurality of organic radicals which may be the same or different, preferably methyl or ethyl groups, comprising electrolysing, using a sacrificial anode of the metal M, a solution containing components 1 and 2 as follows: component 1: one or more organomagnesium halide compounds R.sup.1 MgX where X is a halide radical selected from Cl, Br and I; wher...
Novel adducts of phthalaldehyde are disclosed, as well as imaging compositions and imaging elements incorporating them. A method is also disclosed for minimizing dimensional changes in the element during processing.
Disclosed herein are lignin adducts of the formula ##SPC1## Wherein X is an alkali metal cation, such as sodium, potassium and lithium. These lignin adducts are made by reacting an alkali lignin or sulfonated lignin with up to 10 moles of a salt of epoxysuccinate at a temperature of from 50.degree.C. to 150.degree.C. The lignodicarboxylic acid and its salts are useful as a dispersant and metal complexing agent.
Linear aldehydes having 7-21 carbon atoms are separated from mixtures (which may contain alcohols and/or branched aldehydes) by converting them into solid adducts with C.sub.2 to C.sub.12 linear alkane diols. The adducts are then separated and decomposed. The adducts are themselves novel compounds.
Compounds of the formula I wherein A is a compound of the formula II or III ##STR1## m is a rational number between 0.1 and 4.0, and B is H.sub.2 O.sub.2, N.sub.2 H.sub.4 or NH.sub.2 OH, and R.sub.1 is an unsubstituted or substituted aliphatic or aromatic hydrocarbon radical which has 3-30 C atoms and which can be interrupted by oxygen or sulfur atoms, R.sub.2 is hydrogen or C.sub.1 -C.sub.30 alkyl, X is --O-- or --SO.sub.2 -- and, in the case where B is N.sub.2 H.sub.4 or NH.sub.2 OH, also --S-...
The present invention relates to MgCl.sub.2.mROH.nH.sub.2 O adducts, where R is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.10 alkyl, 2.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.4.2, 0.ltoreq.n.ltoreq.0.7, characterized by an X-ray diffraction spectrum in which, in the range of 2.theta. diffraction angles between 5.degree. and 15.degree., the three main diffraction lines are present at diffraction angles 2.theta. of 8.8.+-.0.2.degree., 9.4.+-.0.2.degree. and 9.8.+-.0.2.degree., the most intense diffraction lines being the one at 2.theta.=8.8.+-.0....
