An inserter is provided for use with one or more feeders. The inserter will receive material ejected from the first feeder, create at least one fold in the insert and then direct the insert into an awaiting envelope. The envelope is gradually opened as it is moved into position to receive the insert. A second insert may be urged into the first insert to initiate the fold in the first insert and urge the first insert into the envelope. The inserter may be provided with a slotted roller to create ...
An inserting apparatus comprises an envelope holder for holding an envelope in a filling position, a document feed path and a flap holder for holding a flap of an envelope in an open position. On the side of the document supply path where the flap holder is also located, the most downstream roller is formed by a return pulley of a conveyor belt. Owing to a conveyor belt being trained over the most downstream roller on that side of the document feed path where the flap holder is also located, a s...
Apparatus for inserting a stack of items into an envelope. A plurality of bank checks are serially fed, counted, and stacked at a receiving and stacking station while simultaneously an envelope is fed to an insertion station. A counter visually displays the number of the counted checks and after a predetermined number have been fed, counted, and stacked, a bank statement is fed and folded and simultaneously an enclosure is fed to the stack of checks at the stacking station by pairs of endless tr...
An inserting machine has a plurality of successively arranged feeder heads mounted along two parallel travel paths. In a main jacket feeding station, main jackets are inserted fold first into the feeder heads. The main jackets are opened and one or more insert feeding stations insert inserts into the main jackets. For increasing the output of the inserting machine, the insert feeding station is constructed for selectively feeding inserts to the feeder heads of both parallel travel paths.
An apparatus is disclosed for inserting a document into an envelope. The apparatus comprises a rotating assembly which includes a document tranferring means. In first position of the rotating assembly, an envelope is fed and a document is fed to the transferring means. While the assembly is rotated to a second position, the document is being conveyed to the envelope and inserted therein. The envelope is then discharged and the assembly is rotated back to its first position.
A booklet inserting machine (1) includes a suction cup (3) for holding and unloading a booklet (B) on the top of a stack of booklets at a stacking station (2), a gripping device (4) to grip the booklet (B) unloaded by the suction cup (3), and a transferring device to transfer the gripping device (4) along with the gripped booklet (B) toward a case (10) to insert the booklet (B) into an engagement claw (14) of the case (10).
A line member inserted into a inlet port of the conduit comprises a thin nylon tape. The tape comprising the line member flies into the conduit with the fluid mechanical force in the air stream.
A device for inserting implants comprises an elongate, hollow shank with a gripping head at one end to grip and hold an implant. The gripping head includes a movable jaw operatively connected to a drive shaft such that rotation of the drive shaft causes the movable jaw to move. The drive shaft may include a gear that meshes with integrally formed teeth on the movable jaw. The drive shaft is axially movable between locked and unlocked positions.
A plate inserting device includes a plate cylinder, roller, and rotation braking unit. The plate cylinder has a groove portion in its outer surface to extend in an axial direction. A plate is to be mounted on the outer surface of a plate cylinder. The roller is rotatably supported to be able to come close to and separate from the outer surface of the plate cylinder. The roller comes into contact with the outer surface of the plate cylinder, when a distal end bent portion of a new plate is to be ...
A method for inserting fasteners fastener in a hole defined by a workpiece is provided. The method aligns an opening defined by an insertion tube with the hole defined by the workpiece, generates air flow through the insertion tube in a direction toward the workpiece, places the fastener into the insertion tube and carries the fastener into the hole defined by the workpiece as a result of the air flow through the tube. In order to prevent the fastener from inhibiting the air flow when the fasten...
