The present invention is directed to a novel flavored extended release composition which forms a non-effervescent suspension when dropped into a liquid, and the methods of using said supplement, thereby minimizing and eliminating gastric discomfort. This flavored extended release composition provides the additional benefits of palatable taste and pleasant appearance.
A mineral-containing composition including enzymatically decomposed lecithin and a water-insoluble mineral. Since the mineral composition shows excellent dispersion stability of the water-insoluble mineral, the mineral composition can be utilized in a wide variety of fields such as foods, cosmetics and industrial products.
The present invention is directed to a process of making fired mineral pellets by mixing particulate mineral material with moisture and binder comprising substantially water soluble organic polymer to form a moist pelletizable mix, pelletizing the moist mix by a tumbling process to form green pellets and firing the green pellets, characterized in that the binder comprises alkali metal silicate in a dry weight amount which is either (a) above 0.13% based on moist mix or (b) above 0.08% based on m...
A range feed supplement in granular form for ruminants has about 25% salt, about 30% phosphorus compounds, about 20% sodium bicarbonate, about 10% elemental sulfur, and about 15% other minerals, including trace elements and vitamins. The feed supplements are heterogenous granules of salt, monosodium phosphate, magnesium oxide, potassium chloride, sodium bicarbonate, elemental sulfur, manganese sulfate, zinc sulfate, ferrous sulfate, copper sulfate, ethylenediamine, dihydriodide, cobalt sulfate, ...
A method and apparatus for separating from a mixture materials having different specific gravities which can operate in a continuous manner and can separate particles of materials of non-uniform grain size. Water or other fluid is passed upwardly through an apparatus having an upper funnel in which is disposed a rotatable agitator having vanes or paddles which pass close to riffles on the wall of the funnel. Material to be separated is fed into the funnel and the upward flow of fluid is adjusted...
The invention concerns a mineral fibre having the following composition in % by weight: SiO.sub.2 50-60, A1.sub.2 O.sub.3 1-6, MgO 16-22, CaO 12-18, Na.sub.2 O+K.sub.2 O 0-3, Fe.sub.2 O.sub.3 1-8, P.sub.2 O.sub.5 1-6, other 0-3, whereby the weight ratio CaO/MgO<1 and the sum CaO+MgO=30-38% by weight.
The food and beverage preservative of this invention uses a finely divided calcium component in a solution of vinegar, alcohol and a fermented germ. The calcium component is present in said preservative in an amount of from 3,000 to 4,000 mg for each 100 to 200 cc of the solution. The preservative has a ph of from 4.5 to 5.5. The calcium component is derived from egg shells, clam shells, oyster shells, scallop shells, animal bones, fish bones, coral and any mixtures of two or more of these.
The cluster water having a potassium ion concentration of 100 ppm or more and containing potassium ions, magnesium ions and calcium ions in a weight ratio of potassium ions:magnesium ions:calcium ions of 1:0.3-4.5:0.5-8.5 has small clusters on the average, which are retained stably for a very long period of time at ordinary temperature.
There is provided an elastomeric composition including a kaolinitic clay mineral filler, characterised in that said kaolinitic clay mineral (a) is a hydrous kaolinitic clay mineral which has a content of non-exchangeable alkali metal cations not exceeding 10,000 ppm (parts by weight per million parts by weight of dry clay) and a content of exchangeable alkali metal cations not exceeding 750 ppm or (b) is a calcined kaolinitic clay mineral prepared by calcining a hydrous kaolinitic clay mineral h...
Mineral fibers that include, by weight, 34-42% SiO.sub.2, 31-38% Al.sub.2 O.sub.3, 0-1% TiO.sub.2, 2.5-7.5% FeO, 17-21% CaO, 0.5-43% MgO, 0.3-1.5% Na.sub.2 O and 0.1-2.3% K.sub.2 O display very high temperature resistance.
