The bag member is formed of a relatively inexpensive non-abrasive felted material, and a portion of one side of the bag is impregnated with a polishing or protective substance such as wax subject to deposition on the surface to be polished by physical contact of the impregnated area with the surface to be polished. A wax distributing flap and seam are provided to implement distribution of the wax.
