The present invention relates to pearlescent shampoos in which the pearlescing agent is myristyl myristate and is present in the shampoo in an amount of about 0.2 to about 2.5 weight percent. Also included in the shampoo are water and an amount of surface active agent effective for cleansing.
The present invention relates to pearlescent pigments based on substrates coated with one or more layers of nitrides or oxynitrides to a method for the production of such pigments and their use in plastics, paints, coatings, powder coatings, inks, printing inks, glasses, ceramic products, agriculture foils, for lasermarking of papers and plastics, security applications and in cosmetic formulations.
The luster, compressibility and other cosmetically important properties of various pearlescent pigments are substantially improved by coating the surface of the pigment particles with a composition comprising a precipitated water-insoluble metal stearate and a surfactant.
A pearlescent solution containing a metal oxide coated mica.
Powdery pearlescent pigment compositions comprising individual particles of a flaky pearlescent pigment coated with 1 to 50 weight percent of a solid polymer, optionally containing wetting agents, fillers, additional coloring agents, UV-absorbers or scenting agents, are produced by combining a suspension of a flaky pearlescent pigment with a solution of a polymer, possibly containing other substances, and subsequently depositing polymer on the pigment flakes. The compositions can be used as pigm...
A pearlescent concentrate in the form of a free-flowing dispersion containing from 5 to 15% by weight of one or more ester corresponding to the following formula and from 1 to 6% by weight of one or more fatty acid monoethanolamide may be prepared using from 2 to 8% by weight of one or more compound selected from the group alkyl (oligo) glucoside, sorbitan fatty acid ester, fatty amine ethoxylate, ether carboxylic acid, or fatty acid monoester or diester of glycerol ethoxylate as an emulsifier.
Powdery pearlescent pigment compositions comprising individual particles of a flaky nacreous pigment coated with 1 to 50 weight percent of a solid polymer, optionally containing wetting agents, fillers, additional coloring agents, UV-absorbers or scenting agents, are produced by combining a suspension of a flaky nacreous pigment with a solution of a polymer, possibly containing other substances, and subsequently depositing polymer on the pigment flakes. The compositions can be used as pigments i...
Dentifrice compositions are disclosed which have an improved pearlescence.
A metal oxide-coated mica pearlescent pigment having a coating of copper chromite thereon is provided.
Pearlescent concentrates containing 15 to 40% by weight pearlescing components may be formulated in the form of a free-flowing aqueous dispersion providing the dispersion simultaneously contains 5 to 55% by weight nonionic, ampholytic and/or zwitterionic surfactants and 0.1 to 5% by weight low molecular weight polyhydric alcohols.
