In an adjustable mounting system for a sunscreen a cap on one end of a housing for the screen has a pivot stud that is received in a bearing opening in a post hingedly connected to base. The hinge connection is preferably provided by a cylindrical keyway and cylindrical key combination.

Sunscreen compositions are described which comprise a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier having incorporated therein, in an amount effective to provide protection against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation, a compound of the formula ##STR1## wherein X is an alkylene group containing 1 to 7 carbon atoms and the amino group of unspecified position is substituted meta or para to the ester group.

A water-resistant suntan gel comprising an alcoholic solvent, a sunscreen agent, emollients, a selected acid which enhances the binding ability of the gel film to the skin and a gelling agent for the solvent. The present invention is a sunscreen composition that has at least one sunscreen agent and at least one glucoside emulsifier. The composition also has water. Preferably, the sunscreen composition also has at least one of the following additional components: an emulsifier other than glucoside, emollient, skin-feel additive, moisturizing agent, film former/waterproofing agent, pH adjuster/chelating agent, preservative, or any combinations thereof. The composition is a stable oil-in-water emulsion.

The present invention relates to a composition having UV protection properties, charaterized in that the formulation comprises at least one encapsulated organic sunscreen and does not penetrate the skin essentially.
