A compound of formula (I), ##STR1## an acid or base addition salt thereof or a stereochemically isomeric form thereof, wherein A and B taken together form --N.dbd.CH--, --CH.dbd.N--, --CH.sub.2 --CH.sub.2, CH.dbd.CH--, --C(.dbd.O)--CH.sub.2 --, --CH.sub.2 --C(.dbd.O); D is a radical of formula ##STR2## L is a radical of formula ##STR3## Alk is a C.sub.1-4 alkanediyl radical; R.sup.1 is halo; R.sup.2 is hydrogen or halo; R.sup.3 is hydrogen, C.sub.1-6 alkyl, phenyl or halophenyl; R.sup.4 is hydro...
Novel parenteral nutrient compositions are disclosed. These compositions are sterile aqueous solutions containing an effective amount of at least one glycerol bisacetoacetate of the formula: ##STR1## wherein one R group is hydrogen, and two R groups are --COCH.sub.2 COCH.sub.3). These compositions are useful as a substitute for glucose in intravenous feeding.
Watersoluble extracts of corynebacteria cells are obtained by a process which comprises the steps of subjecting bacterial residues of corynebacteria containing diaminopimelic acid, e.g. Corynebacterium parvum cells, to a mild extraction and of isolating the watersoluble extracts so obtained by physico-chemical methods. Said extracts are useful as immunological adjuvants.
The invention relates to watersoluble derivatives of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and also to therapeutic compositions containing these derivatives.
A composition containing an extract obtained by a water-containing organic solvent, comprising: (a) an extract containing active ingredients including flavone glycoside or biflavone almost insoluble in water, said extract being obtained for ginkgo plant tissues by extraction with a water-containing organic solvent, and at least one of (b) a water-soluble high-molecular substance and (c) a fatty acid ester of polyglycerol. This composition can be formulated into preparations not containing ethano...
There is disclosed a process for obtaining acetylated watersoluble extracts of corynebacteria and specifically of Corynebacterium parvum, of low molecular weight. Said process comprises acetylating delipidated bacterial residues of bacteria cells and isolating the watersoluble extracts by physico-chemical means. Said extracts are useful as immunological adjuvants in veterinary and human therapy.
The present invention relates to a method for the production of a powdered protein product from whole blood or a blood cell fraction separated from whole blood, the protein product being highly digestible, having a low content of iron and salts, being light brown, watersoluble and having good adhesive properties. The method for the production of the powdered protein product is characterized in that an aqueous blood cell material is subjected to hydrolysis at a temperature of between 140.degree. ...
By a new process, inverse microlatices of watersoluble copolymers are prepared by copolymerization within an inverse microemulsion obtained by admixing an aqueous phase containing the hydrosoluble monomers to be copolymerized, an organic phase and a non-ionic surfactant or a mixture of non-ionic surfactants, whose H L B ranges from 8 to 11. The resultant microlatices can be diluted in water so as to form thickened solutions, which can be used to improve the production of hydrocarbons from oil fo...
A process for manufacture of polymers comprising suspension polymerization of at least one vinyl monomer in the presence of from about 0.01% to about 0.4% by weight, based on the total monomer content, of at least one hydrophobically modified water-soluble, nonionic cellulose ether polymer and an inert electrolyte, and polymers prepared by same.
