A blood pump to be utilized as an artificial heart, comprises a housing provided with a port for introducing and discharging fluid, a cover portion for closing the housing tightly, a sac portion defining a blood chamber with the relatively flat or oval shape arranged in the housing, an inlet and outlet conduit portions for the blood provided with a check valve respectively and integrally formed on the cover so as to communicate with the blood chamber, characterized in that, when the blood chambe...
A digging apparatus (5) attachable to a bucket loader e.g. a tractor loader (1) of the type used for smaller digging work, such as excavating trenches, e.g. in agriculture, park management or the like, and incorporating a connecting device (4), intended to be connected to said bucket loader and with a pivot axle (8) connected thereto and extending mainly perpendicularly to the extension of the digging beam, a digging beam (11) pivotably supported about the pivot axle and having an overhead stay ...
An optical reader capable of reading a bar code in a mounted state when an article carrying the bar code passes and of reading bar codes set in array on a menu sheet in a hand-held state has been disclosed. The optical reader comprises a light source, a scanner that is driven by a drive and scans light emanating from the light source, a plurality of reflection mirrors that reflect scanning light scanned by the scanner and create a scanning pattern composed of a plurality of scan trajectories, a ...
Knee-pad comprising a first part (10) able to fastened onto a sports garment and a second part (30) able to withstand abrasion. Interfacing means (24a . . . 24d, 14a . . . 14d), preferably of the bayonet type, allow the said second part (30) to be separated from the first part (10) without the latter being removed from the garment.
An optical reader capable of reading a bar code in a mounted state when an article carrying the bar code passes and of reading bar/codes set in array on a menu sheet in a hand-held state has been disclosed. The optical reader comprises a light source, a scanner that is driven by a drive and scans light emanating from the light source, a plurality of reflection mirrors that reflect scanning light scanned by the scanner and create a scanning pattern composed of a plurality of scan trajectories, a ...
The present invention is to be used in drying installations. The invention consists of combining the heat of the copper cylinders on which the paper slides with pressing rollers with a diameter larger than the conventional rollers used to transport the belt which guides the sheet of paper. The invention has been foreseen to increase the number of pressure points by installing other pressing rollers at the free spaces, accelerating the drying process.
An intranasally applicable powdery pharmaceutical composition comprising a polypeptide having a physiological activity, a quaternary ammonium compound, and a lower alkyl ether of cellulose. This powdery pharmaceutical composition has an excellent preservability and chemical stability of the polypeptides and, when the powdery composition is administered to the nasal cavity in the form of a spray, the polypeptides are effectively absorbed through the nasal mucosa.
A support bracket has a base member adapted for attachment to a particular measuring tool and a vertical member extends from the base member and it has a horizontal slot within its top edge which mounts a tape rule by way of the tape rule spring clip. The tape rule is oriented on the support bracket such that measurements may be made along a common baseline with reference to the measuring tool and a workpiece to be measured while, at the same time, measurements may also be made along a ruler edg...
The invention concerns a method of describing a function applicable to a computer object, the function being invocable in a first markup language, the function being initially expressed in a predetermined programming language different from the first markup language, characterised in that it includes the steps of: defining (E3) a first tag describing the function, in the first markup language, defining (E6) second tags describing the arguments of the function, these tags being contained in the f...
