A bird feeding device comprising a hollow dome-shaped container for holding food; a food dispensing tray for closing the bottom of the dome-shaped container and dispensing and holding food; a closure with a suspending chain or rope for closing the top of the dome-shaped container.
A bird feeder assembly having a funnel integrated into the feeder assembly facilitates the filling of the bird feed container.
A bird feeder comprising a tubular container (109) for the food having a number of access ports (12, 14) so that birds may reach the food for example peanuts or grain, which settles under gravity onto a base (22). In order to make even the last few particles available to the birds the base (22) has sloping faces (24, 26) which shed the food to the outer periphery of the base (22) and into concave recesses (28) which are aligned with the access ports (12, 14).
A cylindrical-body bird feeder has an open bottom with a pair of cut-outs on opposite sides of the bottom. Slits, extending from the cut-outs latchingly receive a flexible floor for the body. The floor is only latchingly secured in the bottom, to facilitate cleaning of the feeder. In one embodiment of the feeder, the floor is latchable in either one of two pairs of slits, to accommodate the feeding of small seeds, or the feeding of large seeds, via window apertures, or via open troughs below the...
A bird feeder is constructed of two tubular containers attached end-to-end by a coupler threaded at opposite ends. A feed flow mechanism extends through the coupler and into both containers. Feed gravitationally flowing through the feed flow mechanism accumulates in a feed trough at the base of the lower tubular container. The amount of feed accumulating in the trough is controlled by the feed flow mechanism.
A device is described for launching an aerial target and a target is described for use with such devices. In one embodiment a manually operated mechanical launcher is described having a spring-actuated rotary shaft with means for axially engaging the recessed hub of a target which upon release causes the target to carry itself into the air in a manner peculiarly adapted to target practice and related sports. Both the launcher and target have cooperating concentric cowling walls which allow the t...
A bird feeder comprising a vertically disposed hollow housing having an opening in a sidewall thereof of a size just sufficient to receive the head or beak of a bird, perch means extending outwardly from the housing just below said opening, and baffle means inside the housing adjacent the top said aperture whereby when the housing is filled with bird seed, the baffle will deflect the seed away from the aperture and at the same time automatically maintain a level of bird seed adjacent the bottom ...
A bird feeder providing protection against theft of bird feed by squirrels is disclosed which comprises in combination a feeding device having a feeding zone accessible to birds and a drum-shaped guard presenting an at least approximately cylindrical vertical surface at least approximately 6 inches in diameter and at least approximately 18 inches in length. Means is provided which suspends the feeding device below the guard with the center of the feeding device substantially in alignment with th...
The present invention relates to a bird feeder which is combined with a container for the bird food. The birdfeed container makes use of a spout, such as may be employed with the common salt dispenser, the spout being mounted for insertion and removal of the "bottom" of the birdfood container. A perch in the form of a dowel or stick is passed through holes in the wings of the spout to provide a perch for the feeding bird. The container may take the form of a closed container, such as normally fo...
The bird feeder of the present invention includes a dispenser suitable for receiving, holding and dispensing bird feed into a receptacle suspended below the dispenser. At least one of the dispenser and receptacle is at least partially collapsible to form a lower profile for storage or packaging.
