A device for supporting drinking glasses or other small objects out of contact with beach sand or the earth at other outdoor locations has a ground engaging spike with a pointed lower end and a relatively broad upper end on which a plate member is disposed in a transverse and substantially centered relationship with the spike. Retainer structure holds the plate on the spike during use while enabling separation of the plate and spike when not in use. In a preferred form, the spike is itself forme...
A free coaster bicycle wheel driving apparatus having a clutch that employs radially acting components. A drive sleeve has an inner cylindrical wall surface mounted coaxially about a wheel mounting shaft and an outer cylindrical wall surface that is eccentric relative to the drive sleeve inner wall surface. The outer surface of the drive sleeve cooperates with a power transmission sleeve that has an inner cylindrical wall surface that is eccentric relative to its cylindrical outer wall surface. ...
A tire assembly for a wheeled vehicle has a ring-shaped integrally formed outer tire member made of relatively hard and relatively rigid material, and a ring-shaped integrally formed inner tire member. The inner tire member is made of a resilient material that is essentially incompressible but rather easily deformable, so that the inner tire member may be deformed to position it inside the outer tire member with the outer surface of the inner tire member in interfitting relation to the inner sur...
A combination coaster and cup holder is constructed from a planar panel formed from thin, flexible material. The panel has an upper surface and a lower surface, a top edge, a bottom edge, a first side edge and a second side edge. A slit extends from the upper surface to the lower surface between the top edge and the bottom edge, and extends from a point adjacent the first side edge to a point adjacent the second side edge. The slit has an upper edge, a lower edge, a first end and a second end. T...
An amusement ride includes a lower track structure operably connected with and variably spaced from an upper track structure to define a path of travel for a ride vehicle supported remote from the track structure. A motion translation arrangement is located between the track structure and the ride vehicle for separately or simultaneously varying the distance and angular position of the ride vehicle relative to the track structure in response to at least one of the changing track roll angle and c...
A beer mat having a compact disc and a beer-mat body, whereby the main surface of the beer-mat body has been provided with a flat recess, whose depth corresponds at least to the thickness of the compact disc, but less than the thickness of the beer-mat body outside of the recess, whereby the compact disc has been inserted into the recess, and with a cover film overspanning the recess and bonded to the main surface of the beer-mat cover outside of the recess, and whereby the perimeter line of the...
A system for ordering drink refills, comprising a coaster body with a processor, a wireless transmitter and at least one button, the processor responding to user inputs to activate the wireless transmitter to transmit wireless signals indicative of a desired order.
A dueling or racing roller coaster ride has tracks which approach or cross over each other at near miss locations. A controller system controls the timing of launch of a roller coaster vehicle on each track to better achieve consistent simultaneous arrival of the roller coaster vehicles at the near miss locations, to provide increased thrills and excitement to the riders. The control system determines the loaded vehicle weight via current draw on the track side vehicle motors. The control system...
A label for use on a beverage container. The label consists of a coaster attached to the conventional label or directly to the container by adhesive. In the preferred embodiment an edge or a corner of the label has no adhesive to accommodate easy peeling of the coaster from the container. The adhesive allows for firm attachment of the label to the container or another label while at the same time retains stickiness to flatly adhere to the protected surface.
A beverage coaster removably for adhering to a surface such that the beverage coaster does not cling to a beverage container includes a planar disc having an adhesive on the bottom side. In a preferred embodiment, the adhesive in provided in an arcuate strip positioned proximate the outer perimeter of the planar disc. The arcuate strip forms an arc between about 45 degrees and 225 degrees. A dispenser for a stack of beverage coasters is also provided.
