A light-sensitive diazotype material comprising a base support having a coating thereon which comprises a light-sensitive diazonium compound and a coupling component having the general formula ##SPC1## Wherein R is hydrogen, a lower alkyl radical, halogen or aryl, and R' is hydrogen or SO.sub.3 M wherein M is a monovalent cation.
An apparatus for producing a gaseous developer medium for diazo-type material having a distillation column through which fluid developer solution and vapor pass counter-currently. An outlet on the distillation column is connected to a developing chamber. An inlet on the distillation column serves for feeding developer solution therein. The apparatus further includes a vapor generator connected to the distillation column by a direct conduit.
Light-sensitive diazo compositions which comprise a resorcinol substituted in the 2-position with an alkyl group and in the 4-position with an aralkyl group as the yellow azo coupling component, and diazotype materials prepared therefrom.
There is provided a diazotype light-sensitive material for intermediate original (or substitute original), the light-sensitive material being able to give a dye-image which is easy to see and has low transmission of ultraviolet rays. Said material contains derivative of 1-hydroxynaphthalene-3,8-disulfonic acid as one coupling component together with diazonium compound in the light-sensitive layer.
Light sensitive diazotype material includes a diazonium compound of the general formula ##SPC1## Wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 alkyl of up to five carbon atoms, aralkyl or cycloalkyl of up of 10 carbon atoms, or together form a five- or six-membered saturated heterocyclic group with the nitrogen atom; R.sub.3 is a halogenalkyl group of up to four carbon atoms containing at least one fluorine atom; R.sub.4 is hydrogen, halogen, or an alkyl, alkoxy, or dialkylamino groups; and X is the anion of the ...
Benzene diazonium compounds of the general formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is alkylamino, dialkylamino, cycloalkylamino, dicycloalkylamino, cycloalkylalkylamino, aralkylamino, diaralkylamino, alkylaralkylamino, cycloalkylaralkylamino, arylamino, diarylamino, alkylarylamino, cycloalkylarylamino, acoylamino, acoylalkylamino, acoylcycloalkylamino, acoylaralkylamino, acoylarylamino, aroylamino, aroylalkylamino, aroylcycloalkylamino, aroylaralkylamino, aroylarylamino, morpholino, piperidino, triazin...
Diazotype developing apparatus and method in which a gaseous developing medium, such as a mixture of ammonia and air of predetermined concentration, is contained within a containing system, which includes the developing chamber of the apparatus, and the volume of the containing system is variable with only negligible changes in the pressure within the containing system so as to allow the volume of gaseous developing medium to be maintained within the containing system at essentially the same pre...
A diazotype light-sensitive material is produced by coating a light-sensitive composition on a supporting sheet, said light-sensitive composition being prepared by dissolving a water soluble synthetic resin or a denatured starch in water and then dissolving in the resulting solution an azo coupling component and then adding thereto a light sensitive diazonium compound, which order of addition prevents the formation of a tar-like material or a water-insoluble precipitate by interaction of the azo...
New light-sensitive benzene diazonium compounds are provided, which have a halogen atom in an ortho position relative to the diazonium group, an alkylthio in meta position and a dialkyl, alkylcycloalkyl or alkylaralkyl tertiary amino group in para position. These compounds are especially useful in one-component diazotype materials to be developed by liquid phloroglucinol developers, as they have high coupling activity and they form images of black or dark brown azo dyestuffs having light backgro...
A light sensitive two-component diazotype material (sensitive sheet) is provided containing a dicarboxylic acid or an alkyl ester thereof as a developing-accelerator together with a diazotype sensitive composition (i.e., diazo compound and coupler) in the sensitive layer in order to accelerate the rate of development of the diazotype sensitive composition following exposure to light.
