In a cylindrical capacitor having a gaseous dielectricum the relation between the coefficient of expansion of the material of the inner cylinder of the capacitor and the gas pressure, which is held steady, being such as to make the capacity of the capacitor substantially independent of temperature variations within the operational temperature range of the capacitor.
An assembly for an ozone-generating apparatus consisting of a cylindrical tube of constant thickness which is provided with an internal metal coating and which is characterized in that said tube, which is made of glass or of any other suitable material able to be used in an ozone-generating apparatus, is essentially open at both ends but fitted at one end (or both ends in some cases) with a removable plug which is formed of ozone-resistant insulating material and provided with an axial passagewa...
A ceramic composition for an electronic circuit board, a hybrid integrated circuit, an integrated circuit package or a multilayer ceramic structure, consisting essentially of at least one electrically insulating glass, at least one organic binder, at least one inorganic peroxide, and at least one material selected from the group which consists of: a metal selected from the platinum group; a compound of the platinum group; a manganese oxide; and a cobalt oxide.
An improved dielectric ink for the fabrication of multilayer, copper-based integrated circuits is disclosed. The subject inks comprise a suitable ceramic filler material, an organic vehicle and a lead-zinc-aluminum-borosilicate glass frit. Dielectric layers formed from the subject inks are characterized by exceptional resistance to the penetration therein by flux materials such as PbO and Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3 from conventional copper conductors during repeated firings.
New 1,4-dioxanes of the formula I ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each signify and alkyl group with 1 - 10 C-atoms, wherein one or two CH.sub.2 groups can also be replaced by O-atoms, F, Cl, Br or CN, R.sup.2 also H, A.sup.1 and A.sup.2 each signify 1,4-phenylene, 1,4-cyclohexylene, 1,3-dioxane-2,5-diyl, 1,4-dioxane-2,5-diyl, peperidine-1,4-diyl, 1,4-bicyclo(2,2,2)-octylene or pyrimidine-2,5-diyl groups, unsubstituted or substituted by 1 - 4 F-atoms, Z.sup.1 and Z.sup.2 each signify --CO--O...
A method for anisotropically depositing a dielectric from a precursor gas in a reactor is disclosed. The method includes reduced pressure, reduced oxygen/precursor gas flow ratio, increased spacing between shower head and susceptor; and also a susceptor having a diameter greater than the diameter of the wafer.
The invention relates to an apparatus for coating a substrate (1) with dielectrics which has a dc current source (10) connected to an electrode (5) which is connected to a target (3) which is being sputtered. The sputtered particles of the target (3) form a compound with an introduced substance which is deposited on the substrate (1). Permeating the target (3) are toroidal maganetic fields whose field lines emerge in the region of magnetic poles from the surface of the target (3). Under the inve...
Ethers of oligomeric phenol-dialdehyde condensation products containing vinyl benzyl moieties in at least half of the ether moieties are excellent photosensitive prepolymers. Through simple masking and irradiation with a broad range of radiation types, such a resin as a coating can be selectively patterned by dissolving the non-irradiated and non-photocrosslinked portions of the prepolymer with a large variety of common solvents. The outstanding differential solubility between the photocrosslink...
Liquid dielectric compositions useful as electrical insulators are comprised of a mixture of a mixed phthalate of isobutyl alcohol and a branched higher alkanol of a diisobutyl phthalate and/or a phthalate of a branched higher alkanol, and wherein the alkyl groups of the constituents contain from 5 to 18 carbon atoms.
A temperature-compensating ceramic dielectric mainly comprises a composition consisting essentially of 35 to 65 wt % of neodymium titanates (Nd.sub.2 Ti.sub.2 O.sub.7), 10 to 35 wt % of barium titanates (BaTiO.sub.3), 10 to 35 wt % of titanium oxide (TiO.sub.2), 1 to 6 wt % of bismuth oxide (Bi.sub.2 O.sub.3) and 1 to 10 wt % of lead oxide (Pb.sub.3 O.sub.4), and contains 1 to 6 wt % of zinc oxide (ZnO) and 1 to 6 wt % of silicon oxide (SiO.sub.2). Up to 50 atom % of neodymium in neodymium titan...
